The Minnesota Vikings have had a quiet offseason so far. Many are wondering when the team will make a big move or if it will make a move at all. Rest assured, if they know at all what they are doing, the Vikings will have big moves ahead of them.
There are plenty of holes to fill. A to Z Sports' Tyler Forness noted the team's need to add talent at center, running back, wide receiver, swing tackle, defensive tackle, edge rusher, linebacker, cornerback, safety and punter. Perhaps we should forget labeling a need for talent. The Vikings simply need to add depth and fill needs at those positions.
Aside from the above needs, the team has a pivotal decision on how to fill its vacancy at quarterback. It's a vacancy because the current starter has not taken hold of the role.
The Vikings are looking to find an option other than current starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy, and many view that option to be former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray. But Murray is reportedly looking to make visits to a handful of NFL organizations and take his time with the decision. For that reason, the Vikings might want to ensure they have room to pay Murray first before they start filling other needs.
It's fair to prepare for what may seem to be inaction while we wait for Murray to sign. Where the former Arizona quarterback chooses to go with his decision will cause a cascade of events not only in the NFL but for the Vikings organization.

Kyle Terada-Imagn ImagesThe likelihood is that Murray will be a Viking if the money is right. He has reportedly expressed interest in being the team's quarterback, and certainly the two visionaries of Minnesota's scheme make the place desirable. Murray can count on head coach Kevin O'Connell leading a great offense regardless of who calls plays for the team. He can count on defensive coordinator Brian Flores not squandering a lead that he builds with the Vikings offense.
Nevertheless, should Murray choose another team, the action will still likely commence. Other quarterbacks may be waiting for Murray to sign before their value can fully be realized through scarcity. And at that point, we'll see if the Vikings pivot to trade for a player like Mac Jones or add a player like Kirk Cousins or Geno Smith.
There's plenty for the team to sort out but be patient. Moves are on the way.
