The Minnesota Vikings are now 2-0 and are hoping to stay undefeated and improve to 3-0 as they battle the 0-2 Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road this Sunday.

At this point, the Vikings and Buccaneers have both started the season very differently, but ultimately the outcome of this game will decided by which team plays better for a full 60 minutes, not what happened in the first two weeks of the season.

With that said, let's take a look at the top three key matchups for this Vikings and Buccaneers battle on Sunday afternoon.

To start, one of the biggest matchups of this game will no question be the schematic battle between Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores and Buccaneers offensive coordinator Zac Robinson.

In the first two weeks, Flores has been very aggressive as he constantly brings pressure and has rattled opposing quarterbacks, which has helped the Vikings to allow just 25 points and force a total of four turnovers. With that success, it will be interesting to watch if Flores continues to lean on heavy pressure.

On the other hand, Robinson has been doing his best to get quarterback Baker Mayfield and the Bucs offense going, but the success has been inconsistent, with Tampa Bay having five giveaways and averaging just 184.5 passing yards per game. Based on the struggles of the Buccaneers' offense, it will be worth watching how Robinson chooses to game plan and try to create some consistency and rhythm.

With that said, it will be interesting to see how Flores and Robinson try to attack each other, and whoever wins this battle may create the edge for their team in this game.

The next matchup to watch is Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison going against the Buccaneers secondary and, in particular, outside cornerbacks Benjamin Morrison and Zyon McCollum.

So far this season, Jefferson has been pretty good as he has tallied 11 receptions for 147 yards and two touchdowns, while Addison has struggled to get going as he has two receptions for 21 yards. After a slow Week 2, the Vikings will be hoping to get Jefferson and Addison going early on, and with quarterback Kyler Murray back in the lineup, it will be interesting to see how head coach Kevin O'Connell goes about doing that.

When it comes to Morrison and McCollum, they have been solid this season, as they each have two pass breakups, and in Week 1 the duo did a great job of limiting Cincinnati Bengals wide receivers Ja'Mar Chase and Tee Higgins. So, it will be intriguing to watch if this duo can respond in a similar way against Jefferson and Addison.

So, heading into Week 3, it will be interesting to watch the battle between Jefferson and Addison against Morrison and McCollum as whoever wins this matchup could make a huge difference in this game.

The final matchup on this list is Vikings linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel going against Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving.

In the first two weeks of the season, Van Ginkel has been quite disruptive as he has totaled six tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. With that, Van Ginkel has shown once again that he is very disruptive and has been a great weapon as a blitzer in Flores' defense.

For Irving, he has been solid this season, as he has recorded 25 carries for 134 yards and one touchdown while averaging 5.4 yards per carry, in addition to totaling 11 receptions for 49 yards as a pass catcher, however, he did fumble one time. When considering Irving's ability to make an impact as a runner and as a pass catcher, it will be worth watching what kind of impact he can have on this game.

When looking at this matchup, it will be intriguing to watch how Van Ginkel matches up with Irving in the passing game on the perimeter, in the run game on the inside and on the edge, and if Irving can be reliable in blitz pickup, because whoever does win these matchups between Van Ginkel and Irving could turn the tide of this game one way or the other.
