Michigan is currently on a four-game winning streak against the Cornhuskers and only of those last four contests have been particularly close. The Wolverines have won the last four games by a combined 118 points and are favored once again. However, tomorrow's game is in Lincoln, and the Wolverines are looking for their first win on the road this year. With freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood coming off a big day against Central Michigan, both fanbases are very curious about how everything will look for Michigan. Here's what I think...

    1. Bryce Underwood will find the end zone on the ground again

During the first two weeks of the season it almost looked like Underwood wasn't allowed to run the ball. Wolverines fans watched as Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer ran the ball time and time again and couldn't figure out why their own signal caller was stuck in the mud.

That all changed against Central Michigan as Underwood galloped all over the Chips to the tune of 114 yards and two scores on just nine carries. Nebraska will certainly put up more resistance than CMU did, but Underwood proved that he's a weapon on the ground. Expect head coach Biff Poggi and offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey to turn Underwood loose again, which will result in him scoring a rushing touchdown in Lincoln.

    2. The Wolverines will turn Dylan Raiola over twice

Michigan has shown that its defense can be deadly. With athletic pass rushers like TJ Guy and Jaishawn Barham getting into the backfield often, and back end playmakers like TJ Metcalf and Jyaire Hill getting their hands on passes, the Wolverines have the ability to turn opponents over.

Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola has been strong with the ball this year, but he has the propensity to throw it to the other team as evidenced by his 11 interceptions in 2024. Whether it's interceptions thrown or balls put on the turf, expect defensive coordinator Wink Martindale and U-M to force the issue as often as possible on Saturday causing Raiola to give the ball away at least twice.

    3. Rod Moore will make a splash play

It's going to be quite the scene once veteran safety Rod Moore gets onto the field on Saturday after missing more than 15 games with a knee injury. The do-it-all defensive back has been described as one of the smartest players to ever play at Michigan and a coach on the field. That high IQ puts him around the ball a lot which will allow him to make some sort of impact play on Saturday.

Moore might get a pick or a big deflection in a key moment. He might come up in run support and knock a ball loose or scoop up a fumble himself after being in the right place at the right time. Maybe it's a key open-field tackle on fourth down to get his defense off of the field. However it happens, expect No. 19 on defense to do something defined as a big, winning play.

    4. Justice Haynes will rip off a 50-yard run

Michigan running back Justice Haynes has shown that he's a home run hitter. Against New Mexico, the Alabama transfer had a 59-yard touchdown run. In Norman, it was a 75-yard house call to start the second half. Haynes popped off another 75-yard touchdown run against Central Michigan last week, but it didn't count due to an unnecessary holding call. Because of that, Haynes' longest run against the Chips was just 20 yards. Expect the complete back to find success again this week and return to his long-run ways.

    5. Donaven McCulley will score a touchdown

Michigan is still in search of its No. 1 receiver in some ways despite finding some success through the air with wide receivers Semaj Morgan, Channing Goodwin and Donaven McCulley, as well as tight end Marlin Klein. All have shown flashes of being more than solid, but consistency is still needed out wide.

McCulley, a transfer from Indiana, was billed as the potential No. 1 target ahead of the 2025 season but hasn't found the end zone yet. The 6-5, 215-pounder has shown the ability to go up and make a play on a 50-50 ball but hasn't been utilized in the red zone much at all. On Saturday in Lincoln, while sporting the heralded No. 1 jersey, McCulley will find the end zone for the first time as a Wolverine.
