The Bills have the MVP leading their Super Bowl campaign, the 49ers are set to dominate the NFC and the Dolphins may be the NFL's first winless team since 2017.

Now that the NFL's Week 2 slate is done, it's time for every team's fanbase to overreact to what they've seen through just two games of the regular season. MVP candidates, Super Bowl champions and historical worsts are still months away from being decided, but that won't stop the best part of being a fan of the National Football League: overreacting with friends.

Here are some of our favorite overreactions from Roundtable publishers, local and national, from the Week 2 bouts including a clear-cut, indisputable September Super Bowl matchup.

Buffalo Bills: MVP Leading Super Bowl Campaign

This is finally the year. The Buffalo Bills have the best quarterback in the NFL, Josh Allen, who is two games into what will be his second MVP season. Buffalo's offense looks great and well-rounded with running back James Cook, and the defense has more talent than previous years.

Joe Brady is the breath of fresh air at head coach that the Bills needed following Sean McDermott. Beating the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions is just the start. This is Buffalo’s season to bring home the Lombardi.

San Francisco 49ers: Best NFC Team

The San Francisco 49ers are the best team in the NFC. After dismantling the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1 and following it up with another blowout against the Miami Dolphins, this looks like a team with essentially no weaknesses right now.

Indianapolis Colts: Worst Defense Since Location Change

This may be one of the worst Indianapolis-era Colts defenses in franchise history. Their 1,029 yards allowed are the second most in NFL history through the first two games.

The problem is that there doesn’t seem to be relief on the way. The Colts’ defensive line and linebacker corps were suspect entering the season, and they’ve been even worse than expected. It’s also veteran players that have been the biggest liabilities. They’re not good against the run or pass, and their pass rush is not good enough.

Miami Dolphins: Winless Season Incoming?

The Miami Dolphins may very well go 0-17.

This is a team that was coming into the regular season with many roster weaknesses. Those weaknesses have been on full display in the first two weeks.

With well-documented concerns at pass rusher, wide receiver, and in the secondary, the team may be faced with the daunting reality that the 2026 season could be a complete wash.

National Note: If the Dolphins end up going without a win in 2026, they'll have both an undefeated and winless season in their franchise history.

QB Tyler Shough: The Future in New Orleans

New Orleans Saints signal caller Tyler Shough has officially ascended from a rising quarterback who might be the future in New Orleans to the bona fide guy.

Between some of the throws he’s made and the poise he’s shown in big moments, he looks like a legitimate franchise quarterback. After the Saints closed last season as one of the better teams in the NFL over the final month, they’re now 1-1, but incredibly close to being 2-0 against contending-level teams to start this season.

Minnesota Vikings: NFC North Kings

The NFC North is already the Minnesota Vikings’ division to lose.

Everyone entered the season talking about how brutal this division would be with Minnesota, the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions, but through two weeks the Vikings have been far and away the best of the group. They’re the division’s only undefeated team, with both wins having come against NFC North opponents.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Time For Drew Allar

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is playing like one of the worst passers in the NFL through its first two weeks.

Rodgers currently ranks No. 29 in the NFL in passer rating, appears to have little to no chemistry with his offensive weapons, has completed just 59.5% of his passing attempts (No. 26) and currently carries the second-lowest yards per attempt average in the league among Week 1 starting quarterbacks.

If he continues to trend in this direction with old friend Mike McCarthy at head coach, it might be time to consider a different option, like third-round rookie quarterback Drew Allar.

Los Angeles Chargers: Most Disappointing Team

There isn't a team in the NFL right now more disappointing than the Los Angeles Chargers, though the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are making a run for the title.

Teams are allowed to get better after the first two weeks of the season, the same for quarterbacks, but the way Los Angeles has started this year has been severely underwhelming.

With losses to the Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Raiders to open the season, the only thing that could be worse is a loss to the Cleveland Browns. (Hello, Tampa.)

Many of Herbert's quarterback metrics fall below that of Rodgers, and a checkered past of inefficiencies should start to raise questions about his ability to lead a winning team, and beyond that, success in the postseason.

Dear NFL: Save the QBs

Someone adjust the injury settings, please.

Signed,
Fans of Good Quarterback Play
