The Xtreme Barrel Races have offered another high-paying format for open racers who love the 4D format. In Cedar City, Utah, June 17-22, Xtreme Cedar City crowned another set of champions.
In the Mini Million, Kaiden Ayres rode her great gelding, Oliver Cromwell (Tres Seis x Dash Ta Moon x Dash Ta Fame), to the $5,313 win in the 1D. Their 15.001 was also good for the Friday Xtreme 1D win and $1,120, the Friday Prime 1D win, the Bonus Bucks 1D win, and second in the Friday Derby 1D.
Ayres also placed third, seventh, and eighth in the 2D on Bae Bug and Coats Blazin Nexavar.
Brittany Kelly and JW Dark Roast claimed the 2D win for $4,675 with a 15.501. Leanne Wolfe and Woodys Bug topped the 3D for $4,250. They also finished fourth for $2,587. Zoee Nelson rode This Zip Is Flion to the 4D title and $3,825. In the 5D, Jessica Killian and Little Bitta Mito earned $3,188. The du earned another $749 for seventh in the 4D.
In the Friday Xtreme 1D, Susan Siggins and Fame Folly Five ran the only sub-15-second time of the event with a 14.959 to take the win. Judges Fancy Frost and Maddalyn Stacey clocked a 15.481 for the 2D win. Corinne Grantz and I Am Pretty Woman earned the 3D win. In the 4D, JA Double N Down Doc and Krystyn Wilstead ran a 16.482 to take the top spot. Amy Shomaker and DMR Guys Famous Bully ran a 16.988 to earn the 5D title.
Jayme Fish and YZ Eddie Stinson topped the Saturday Xtreme 1D with a 15.171. They also earned the Saturday Prime 1D, Saturday Derby 1D, and Sunday Prime 1D wins.
The Sunday Xtreme 1D went to Hailey Krahenbuhl and Saaul Good with a 15.177.
The next Xtreme event is coming up July 17-20 in Nampa, Idaho.
