No surprise here, that a fan favorite team, Hailey Kinsel and Sister are back on top in Dickies Arena.

Hailey Kinsel and her amazing yellow mare Sister, are once again putting themselves in position to make a run at another Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo title.

In Bracket 5 in Dickies arena, Kinsel and Sister delivered a clean sweep of barrel racing. They were a 16.56 in the first round and clean things up in round 2 to be even faster with a 16.49.

It has been another strong Fort Worth showing for a duo that knows the building well. Kinsel and Sister previously won the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo championship in 2019 and again in 2020. Their first title came inside the historic Will Rogers Coliseum, followed by a return trip to the winner’s circle during the rodeo’s first year inside Dickies Arena.

The Bracket 5 sweep in 2026 added yet another win to the pairs history in Fort Worth. They will move on to the semi finals hoping to advance to the finals, and come home with another title this year.

Kinsel finished first in the bracket with $5,000, while Tayla Moeykens placed second with $3,400. Lindsey Muggli earned $2,025 in third and advances to the Wild Card round.

The barrel race wasn't the only exciting event in Bracket 5.

Bareback riding saw the veteran hold off the young gun that has everyone watching. Tilden Hooper led the bracket using his consistency across both rounds to stay on top. Just behind him was Sam Petersen, fresh off his first National Finals Rodeo appearance and an NFR average title. Ben Kramer finished third and advances to the Wild Card.

Garrett Oates topped the bracket in the steer wrestling. The Texas cowboy was a 4.5 and a 5.7. Neither time earned a round win but was enough in the average to finish first. Boyd Sawyer finished second while Landris White finishes third to advance to the Wild Card.

Team roping belonged to a familiar face in Fort Worth. Paden Bray has competed in both the calf roping and team roping this week. He had some tough luck in the tie-down, however Bray heeled for Brady Tryan to win the bracket. Kavis Drake and Denim Ross finished second, while Kolton Schmidt and Chase Tryan placed third and advance to the Wild Card.

Breakaway roping was led by Jordi Edens-Mitchell, who set herself up early with a 2.1 second run to win Round 1. She followed with another solid run in Round 2 to finish first overall. Braylee Shepherd stayed close throughout the bracket to finish second while Cali Griffin stayed in third.

Kade Bruno and Ryder Wright were tied at the top from start to finish in the saddle bronc. The two tied atop the bracket mirroring each other across both rounds. They were tied for second in Round 1 and then shared the Round 2 win with 86 points. This left no separation between two of the sport’s best. Lefty Holman finished third with moves on to the Wild Card round.

In the tie-down roping we saw another clean sweep. Trenton Smith was sharp both nights, stopping the clock in 8.5 seconds in Round 1 and backing it up with an 8.9 in Round 2 to win the bracket with $5,000. Britt Bedke finished second in both rounds as well, while Lucas Potter placed third and advances to the Wild Card.

Bull riding highlighted a rookie cowboy making the most of his opportunities this year. Hayden Welsh topped the bracket with $6,000 won, continuing an impressive start to his first season. Welsh was the only cowboy in the bracket to cover two bulls. Gavan Hauck finished second while Colton Coffman placed third.
