  The Academy of Country Music Awards has been held every year for the past 60 years. This makes it the longest running country music award show to date.

Country singer Reba McEntire has been the host for the last 18 years at this prestigious event. The awards showcase talent from all over the industry. There are many categories ranging from the singers themselves, to the studio recordings, the industries, and radio award winners.

The ACM has a triple crown award that only nine, now ten, artists have ever won. Lainey Wilson is the newest recipient. She has won new female artist of the year, female artist of the year, and entertainer of the year. On top of that her album “Whirlwind” took top honors at this years award show as well.

Wilson has been dominating the industry. Fans love her for her originality, stage presence, beauty, etc. She will continue to win awards and be at the top of the country music industry for as long as she wants to perform. The triple crown is a huge honor and she is now in a very elite group of performers.

New country artists dream of winning an award here. The ACM honors the best new comers to the industry. Ella Langley and Zach Top took home the new female and male artists of the year awards. Langley paired up with Riley Green to win single of the year with their song: “You Look Like You Love Me”. This single also took home the visual media of the year award.

It seems fitting that the best fair and rodeo of the year was the Calgary Stampede. Alberta takes great pride in this event and this is a huge honor to add to their list of accolades. Canada isn’t the only other country celebrated at the awards this year. England also took home a major award. The “Country to Country” festival took place in London and was recognized as the top one of the year.

Country music continues to grow and showcase the values that the western lifestyle has. These artists have a huge stage and promote the western values that are held dearly to this community. Each year the Academy of Country Music Awards rewards these artists for their passions and discipline to their craft.
