Legendary ropers unite, forging equine excellence. Discover how Trevor Brazile and Miles Baker built the Relentless Remuda, breeding and training champions.

You could call them the men in black. Or the cowboy kings. In their slick “B” branded apparel, throwing smooth loops off of sleek horses, these two men and their mounts are show stoppers. But to most of the industry, they are simply Trevor and Miles, the partners of the Relentless Remuda, under the flying B brand.

Trevor Brazile is a household name, having won 26 Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) World Championship titles and 14 All Around Cowboy Championship World Titles, not to mention his event-specific titles. He’s a man who knows a horse and a rope; a true classy, versatile athlete.

Miles Baker also competed in the PRCA and grew up as the next generation in a long line of cattle ranchers and horsemen, doctoring cattle horseback. He attended Oklahoma State University but was not on their rodeo team during his college days, as he was already competing in the PRCA at the time.

When Miles was in college, he and Trevor did some business together. Mile’s college rope horse, Chica, owned by Lari Dee Guy, would become a shared point of connection for them as they would later flush an embryo out of her.

Years later, Trevor Brazile called Miles and asked if he could send him several horses to train. Miles has a solid reputation and fundamental approach to logging miles on young horses outside of the arena, taking them through pastures and exposing them to brush, cattle, wild hogs, and all the things that wide open spaces bring. When Trevor contacted Miles, Miles only had room to take one horse, but Trevor was so impressed with the work he did on that one horse that they began talking more and more until the Relentless Remuda horse training and breeding business partnership was born under the Brazile brand.

Today, they have a string of talented stallions and rope horse prospects and participate in rope horse futurities across the country, showing these horses. One of their first studs was a striking palomino known as “Show Me the Buckles,” who actually caught the eye of Miles’ wife Daci years before Trevor and Miles agreed to his purchase. After his success, they’ve continued to grow their roster, in partnership with Ty and Melanie Smith of Solo Select Performance Horses. They are currently campaigning their stud Pride and Joyy, “Kilo,” and the Darkk Side, whom they offered shares of through syndication. Kilo was raised as a foal by Ty Smith of Solo Select, and then, after a snaffle bit career as a 3-year-old, was later transitioned to Trevor and Miles for roping training. Solo Select is equally dedicated to improving genetics throughout the industry and ushering in a new generation of rope horses through attention to every little detail.

These partnerships and the Relentless Remuda’s pursuit of excellence are inspiring, and the quality of their herd reflects their consistency and dedication. They don’t just have a few good horses; they have all incredible horses…and that’s the long-term plan. In addition, they’ve crafted a merchandise line of tack that they use themselves daily, such as a line of saddle pads, boots, ropes, and more.

And they continue to challenge the rest of us to “B Relentless.”
