The reigning world champion bareback rider, Rocker Steiner, is taking his energy beyond the arena with a new bar and dancehall in one of Texas' most recognizable Western destinations.
Rocker Steiner has never been one to keep his personality inside the arena. From his highenergy performances in the bareback riding to a reality series following his life on the rodeo road, the Reigning World Champion PRCA Bareback Rider has built a fan base that stretches well beyond the people who follow the PRCA standings. Now, he has another place to bring that following together with the opening of RCKR Roadhouse in the Fort Worth Stockyards.
Located on Exchange Avenue, RCKR Roadhouse is Steiner's new bar and dancehall, bringing live music, drinks and a high-energy atmosphere to the heart of Fort Worth's historic Western district. The business describes itself as a place built around loud music, cold drinks and Texas energy. With a mechanical bull and screens showing rodeo and other sports, the new spot gives guests plenty of ways to stay connected to the action.
The grand opening was celebrated on Oct. 24 with a block party featuring country artist ERNEST. Live music, food vendors, games and merchandise giveaways brought people out to celebrate the new addition to the Stockyards.
For anyone who has watched Steiner compete, the atmosphere makes sense. He is known for bringing an unmistakable level of energy to the arena. Whether he is celebrating a big ride or feeding off the crowd, his personality has become part of what fans recognize about him. RCKR Roadhouse carries that same spirit into a different setting, and Steiner has been a familiar face around the new business as it gets underway.
More Than a Rodeo Name
Steiner's popularity has grown well beyond his accomplishments in bareback riding. People have said, "You either love him, or you hate him." This is true of the Weatherford, Texas, cowboy who became nearly a household name for many rodeo fans. His willingness to let people see more of his life has helped introduce him to an audience outside the sport.
That was part of the idea behind Hell on Wheels, the Cowboy Channel docuseries that follows Steiner through his season. The series gives viewers a look at life behind the chutes, on the road and within the Steiner family, showing the personalities and pressures that come with chasing a world championship.
The show followed Steiner through his pursuit of his first gold buckle, a goal he accomplished at the 2025 National Finals Rodeo. His championship season and the series have helped bring more attention to his career and the people behind it. In August 2026, Hell on Wheels added another milestone when it won Best Documentary at the Lone Star Sports Emmy Awards. This was huge for the sport of rodeo.
Steiner's appeal comes from more than the eight seconds he spends on a bucking horse. He has a personality people recognize, and he has been willing to put that personality in front of cameras and fans.
A New Addition to the Stockyards
The Fort Worth Stockyards offered a fitting home for RCKR Roadhouse. Stockyards has spent generations building its identity around the cattle and rodeo industries, Western heritage and the people who helped shape Fort Worth. Today, it brings that history together with rodeos, live music, shopping, restaurants and of course, nightlife.
The Stockyards' official visitor site lists 46 bars and restaurants among its attractions, making it a destination where visitors can spend an entire evening moving from place to place. RCKR Roadhouse joins an established lineup of Western-themed bars and entertainment spots while adding Steiner's name and personality to the mix.
Business ownership is also familiar territory for the Steiner family. His father, Sid, and grandfather, Bobby, have built businesses outside the arena, including the family's connection to Steiner Ranch Steakhouse in Austin. RCKR Roadhouse gives Rocker an opportunity to carry that entrepreneurial side of the family forward while building something tied to his own career and public image. There is no better venture for Rocker than a bar just down the interstate from his hometown.
The timing also comes during a different kind of year for the bareback rider. After winning his first world championship in 2025, Steiner entered 2026 with plenty of momentum before neck issues required surgery in June. His recovery has kept him away from competition while he focuses on getting healthy enough to return to the arena. We won't see Steiner at the 2026 NFR in Vegas, but he will be back to the arena with full energy before long.
While rodeo fans wait to see him back on a bucking horse, RCKR Roadhouse gives them another place to catch a glimpse of the World Champion. For Steiner, it is another venture outside the arena and another way to connect with the audience he has built along the way. Rodeo may be where people first learned his name, but Rocker Steiner has made it clear that his interests and personality reach beyond the sport. Now, in the middle of the Fort Worth Stockyards, he has a place that reflects the same energy that has made him one of rodeo's most recognizable personalities.
