After a difficult beginning to his 2026 PBR World Finals, Crimber closed out the weekend with 4 back-to-back rides to secure the title of 2026 PBR World Champion.
After a rocky start to the 2026 PBR World Finals, John Crimber came in to the Championship with clutch rides scoring big, making John Crimber the 2026 PBR World Champion. After a long and impressive season from this 20-year-old rider, many in the Rodeo community were rooting for him throughout the duration of the 2026 PBR World Finals.
It is true that Crimber struggled at the start of this year’s World Finals. After going 0-5 for the first 5 rounds of the 2026 PBR World Finals, Jahn Crimber walked into Night 6 knowing he needed to get the job done. With the added pressure of Hudson Bolton having a perfect 5 rides in the event, John needed to get a high-scoring ride to secure his place in the finals and his shot at the title. Under this pressure, a diamond was made. Crimber was able to secure an 89.40-point ride on July, and from that moment on, John was not placed against another bull he couldn’t ride.
With a 91.35-point ride on What’s Poppin in Round 8, John safely moved on to the Championship round, where he has an amazing matchup against Tigger. This was a monster ride scoring an impressive 92.90, making John Crimber both the Round Winner and the official 2026 PBR World Champion.
This title will be forever penned into the history books of PBR, as Crimber is only the second man to win this title at the age of 20. Furthermore, the Golden Buckle awarded to Crimber is a special edition to say the least. In partnership with the US Space Force, the Champion Buckle was sent to the edge of space. Although this alone would have been enough to make the buckle stand out, due to the pressure of space flight, the buckle was severely warped, adding a comical addition to Crimber’s outstanding season. Few are shocked by this win as Crimber has been riding extremely well in the past season, with a season high-scoring ride of 93.95, and 6 90-point rides throughout the city.
Overall, despite the unexpectedly rough start to John Crimber’s 2026 PBR Finals in the Cowtown Coliseum, the change in scenery to the Dickies arena paired with the few days to rest helped John to come back and be the World No. 1 PBR Rider that the world knows and loves.
