John Crimber has added $56,394 in just nine days, catching fire as the PRCA regular season races toward its September 30 finish.
With the end of the PRCA regular season approaching, John Crimber is making every bull and every paycheck count.
In just nine days, Crimber has added an incredible $56,394 to his season earnings, putting together a late September run that has him collecting checks across the country as the race toward the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo enters its final days.
And he has done a lot of that damage in a matter of rides.
At the Washington State Fair Pro Rodeo in Puyallup, Washington, Crimber was the man to beat. He advanced through the Playoff Series rodeo before matching up with Brookman Rodeo’s Splittin Tens for 87 points in the finals, securing the Puyallup bull riding championship.
Then it was on to Pendleton.
Inside one of rodeo’s most recognizable arenas, Crimber matched Four Star Rodeo’s Dynamite for 90 points in the opening round of the Pendleton Round-Up. The big ride gave him another round win and another check during a time of year when every dollar carries a little extra weight.
There wasn’t much time to celebrate.
Crimber headed east to Mandan, North Dakota, and kept the streak alive at the North Dakota Roughrider Cup. There, he covered Dakota Rodeo’s Astro Outlaw for 88.5 points, adding another substantial payday to his September total.
Puyallup. Pendleton. Mandan.
Different arenas, different bulls and three stops that helped Crimber pile up $56,394 in only nine days.
The run comes at exactly the right time.
September is crunch time in professional rodeo. The PRCA regular season ends September 30, giving contestants only a handful of remaining opportunities to add to their season earnings before the Top 15 in each event advance to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.
For Crimber, the late season push is another chapter in a year already filled with success.
The young bull rider has become one of the most recognizable names in the sport, competing at the highest levels of both PBR and PRCA competition. But as September winds down, the focus is firmly on the PRCA trail and finishing the regular season as strongly as possible.
Bull riding leaves little room for error. Eight seconds can mean thousands of dollars, while one buckoff can send a cowboy down the road empty handed. During this stretch, Crimber has continued finding ways to stay on, advance and cash checks when they matter most.
And there is still money left to win.
With the September 30 deadline approaching, cowboys across every event are making final runs across the country, chasing the last dollars available before the standings become official. For those already sitting inside the Top 15, the remaining rodeos offer a chance to improve their position. For those outside looking in, they represent one final opportunity to change the course of a season.
Crimber has made his recent opportunities count.
In nine days, $56,394….and the regular season isn’t over yet.
