Super Series three wrapped up at RODEOHOUSTON, and we saw several cowboys and cowgirls dominate during their first trip to NRG Stadium.

As RODEOHOUSTON rolls through its Super Series rounds inside NRG Stadium, the semifinals is beginning to take shape.

Super Series 3 wrapped up this week, and we noticed that the young guns are really making noise. Several of the 2025 Resistol Rookie's of the Year, competing right alongside the sports greats, still came out on top.

Tie down roper Tyler Calhoun, breakaway roper Haiden Thompson, and bull rider Bryce Jensen all advance to the semi finals at the biggest rodeo of the regular season after winning Rookie of the Year titles just last year.

Bareback Riding

In the bareback riding, two-time National Finals Rodeo qualifier Bradlee Miller topped the field.

Miller won the first two rounds of the series and finished as the high money earner with $6,000, advancing first to the semifinals. The cowboy currently sits third in the PRCA world standings and his chasing his first gold buckle this year.

Right behind him was 2023 World Champion Keenan Hayes, who won the third round of the series and continues to build momentum during what many see as a comeback season after injuries slowed him since 2024.

Also advancing are Jayco Roper and Jacob Lees.

Steer Wrestling

In the steer wrestling, veteran bulldogger Ty Erickson showed up. The 2019 World Champion and 10-time NFR qualifier won the opening round with a 4.1 second run and placed in all three rounds to finish first in the series with $4,875.

He was followed by Bridger Anderson, Holden Myers, and Dakota Eldridge, who all secured semifinal spots.

Team Roping

The team roping saw one of the most consistent three rounds of the entire rodeo. Marcus Theriot and Chase Graves placed second in the first two rounds before splitting the win in Round 3, allowing them to finish as the high money earners with $6,500 each.

Also advancing were Bubba Buckaloo and Cole Curry, Coy Rahlmann and Logan Medlin, and Tee McLeod and Trey Yates.

Saddle Bronc Riding

In the saddle bronc riding, Canadian cowboy Ben Andersen proved to be the most consistent. After winning the first round, Andersen continued to place throughout the bracket and finished tied atop the money list with Jake Finlay, another Canadian bronc rider.

Also advancing were Weston Patterson and Rusty Wright.

Tie-Down Roping

In the tie-down roping, current world standings leader Kincade Henry continued his outstanding 2026 season. Henry earned $6,875 to top the series and tied the fastest time of the rodeo so far with a 7.6-second run in Round 3.

Behind him was 2025 Rookie of the Year Tyler Calhoun, followed by Pecos Tatum and veteran Shane Hanchey, a 16 time NFR qualifier. The bracket featured a unique mix of generations, from rising young stars to one of the sport’s most experienced talents.

Breakaway Roping

In the breakaway roping, another 2025 Rookie of the Year found herself at the top

Haiden Thompson secured the Super Series win with $4,500, highlighted by a Round 1 win. In Round 3, Thompson knew she needed to win money to advance, but did not draw the ideal calf. He went hard left, but Haiden showed it was no feat for her, roping him sharp, placing, and advancing.

Close behind was her traveling partner, 2022 World Champion Martha Angelone, followed by Cadee Williams and Aspen Miller.

Barrel Racing

In the barrel racing, we saw another clean sweep by Emily Beisel, 7 time NFR qualifier.  Beisel swept all three rounds with runs of 14.55, 14.81, and 14.69 seconds, earning $9,000 and entering the semifinals.

This momentum has been carrying all year, though early in the season. Beisel currently sits No. 1 in the WPRA World Standings. She has been close to that gold buckle in years past, but 2026 could very well be the year it is hers.

Bull Riding

The bull riding also saw a standout performance from the rookie class. 2025 Rookie of the Year Bryce Jensen finished tied atop the series after being the only rider to cover a bull in Round 3.

He tied for first in the Super Series with Cooper James, while Clayton Sellars and Dustin Boquet also advanced.

With Super Series 3 now complete, another group of cowboys and cowgirls have secured their spot in the RODEOHOUSTON semifinals, bringing them one step closer to the $65,000.
