The World Standings are about to shift and change a whole lot as the 2026 RODEOHOUSTON champs are crowned today. Contestants have made it through the Super Series, and the Semi Finals. Two cowboys or cowgirls in each event got in through the wildcard. Now the stage is set, and the stakes are high in NRG Stadium.
In the tie down roping, these guys have been nothing short of impressive. Tons of talent fill this roster, but they all have to get by the Reining World Champion and Reining RODEOHOUSTON Champ, Riley Webb. Webb is chasing is 4th consecutive gold buckle this year, and another win in NRG would greatly help his cause.
The current number 1 man in the world, Kincade Henry is also in the finals. Ty Harris will also rope after breaking his foot just a week ago in Houston. He has been red hot this year as well.
Marty Yates, Seth Hall, Quade Hiatt, Michael Otero, Tuf Cooper, Ty Harris, Brushton Minton, Shane Hanchey, Kincade Henry, Riley Webb
The bareback riding has been electric. This championship round is going to really shake things up. Wacey Schalla is currently leading the 2026 World Standings. A RODEOHOUSTON win could extend his lead early on in the season, but it won't be an easy feat with this group of talent. The Reining World Champion, and Reining RODEOHOUSTON Champion Rocker Steiner is also finals bound.
Kade Berry, Bradlee Miller, Wacey Schalla, R.C. Landingham, Rocker Steiner, Keenan Hayes, Cole Reiner, Mason Stuller, Jess Pope, Jayco Roper
The teams in the team roping are sure to put on a show. These are the best of the best guys in the world. The story has been Derrick Begay and Colter Todd who won RODEOHOUSTON last year, and are coming back to defend their title.
Brady Tryan/Paden Bray, Bubba Buckaloo/Cole Curry, Dustin Esuquiza/JCFlake, Kavis Drake/Denim Ross, Derrick Begay/Colter Todd, Kaleb Driggers/Junior Nogueira, Coy Rahlmann/Logan Medlin, Korbin Rice/Cooper Freeman, Chad Masters/Jace Helton, Jake Smith/Douglas Rich
The saddle bronc riding finals consists of some big storylines. Rusty Wright is having a very impressive year with already over $100,000 won early in 2026. Of all four Wright brothers, Rusty is the only one that has not won a world title yet, but this could very well be the year. Younger brother Stetson will also be in the finals.
Jake Finlay, Eastan West, Stetson Wright, Allen Boore, Weston Patterson, Shorty Garrett, Kade Bruno, Layton Green, Rusty Wright, Kole Ashbacher
The big mans event is going to come down to the wire as well. We have seen many fast times and a lot of consistency among these guys throughout. None of these guys have ever won a World Championship. If history repeats itself, RODEOHOUSTON champs are destined to be World Champs in the same year quite often.
Denell Henderson, Don Payne, Chase Crane, Chance Howard, Holden Myers, Tristan Martin, Mike McGinn, Seth Peterson
What a field of ladies in the barrelrace this year. We have Emily Beisel who currently sits number 1 in the World Standings. Lisa Lockhart recently became the first lady to cross 4 million in WPRA earnings. Hailey Kinsel, 5x World Champion, and Sister have won about everything there is to win in the barrelracing world, but not a RODEOHOUSTON title yet.
Kassie Mowry and Jarvis just ran a 14.08 in the Semi Finals, the fastest run we have seen this year. They won Houston last year on their way to their second consecutive gold buckle. Anyone of these ladies could be the champ,
Emily Beisel, Lisa Lockhart, Chloe Gray, Paige Jones, Loralee Ward, Summer Kosel, Katie Halbert, Hailey Kinsel, Kassie Mowry, LaTricia Duk
The ladies in the breakaway have continued to get faster every round. They have been as fast as 2.5, and very well could get quicker today in the finals. Among the tough field is Taylor Munsell who just came off her first World title. A RODEOHOUSTON win last year is what got her there. Rylee George is coming off of an NFBR average title, and Haiden Thompson was the 2025 Resistol Rookie of the Year.
Cadee Williams, Rylee George, Taylor Munsell, Macy Young, Joey Williams, Beau Peterson, Jill Tanner, Haiden Thompson, Hali Williams, Maddy Jacobs
We have a 2026 rookie in the RODEOHOUSTON finals in the bull riding. Hayden Welsh has been on fire lately, and is looking to continue that streak at the biggest regular season rodeo of the year. Tristan Hutchings won Houston last year, and is looking to repeat on the way to his first gold buckle. Of course, you have to keep Stetson Wright, the 10x World Champion in mind as well.
Trevor Reiste, Jake Gardner, Clayton Sellars, Steston Wright, Tristen Hutchings, Roscoe Jarboe, Jordan Spears, Hayden Welsh, T Parker, Ernie Courson
It is sure to be a show in NRG Stadium today on Championship Saturday. In just a few short hours, champs will be crowned, and the 2026 season will take a big turn.
