After a great start to his season, John Crimber continues to climb the PRCA standings. Will he be able to win World Champion titles across multiple associations? Only time will tell.

John Crimber is without a doubt one of the best bull riders in the world. His name has quickly become well-known within the bull riding community, winning the PBR World Champion title just a few short weeks ago at the age of 20.

Raised by legendary PBR rider, Paulo Crimber, John has always had a deep love for the sport of bull riding. This year, he decided to broaden his competition scale by buying his PRCA Rookie card.

Although most of the focus on his career was his performance in PBR circuits leading up to the finals, his recent focus on PRCA competitions has brought all eyes on him. With an 88.5-point ride on Sea of Sorrow, John Crimber won the Gladewater Round-Up Xtreme Bulls event on June 10th, officially moving him to No. 10 in PRCA standing.

Shortly after this success, Crimber competed at the Woodward Elks Rodeo with an impressive 92.5-point go on Kippers Ripper. This ride officially moved him up to the No. 9 slot in the PRCA standings. This rider is one who won’t quit, as we all saw at the 2026 PBR World Finals.

Crimber also currently holds the No. 4 position in the Resistol Rookie race. With his consistent skill and success, John Crimber has a real possibility on his horizon to finish out his 2026 season with more than one champion title.

John Crimber has made it no secret that he has his eyes on the PRCA Resistol Rookie of the Year, and if he continues climbing the standings as he has been over the past weekend, he would make history by winning both that title and the PBR World Champion title in the same year.

Furthermore, Crimber started the 2026 PRCA season late, only purchasing his rookie card in mid-febuary. Despite starting months behind his competitors, John’s consistent top-3 event placements and 90-point rides have placed him securely in the top 15 PRCA bull riders, which holds a spot for him in the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in December.

Should he continue his record pace, he holds a real shot at being named the official No. 1 bull rider in the world in both the PBR and PRCA circuits, something never achieved by one rider in the same year in history.

In fact, the only rider to win both titles was Tuff Hedeman who was a three-time PRCA Championship winner as well as the 1995 PBR World Champion.

Overall, John Crimber has been building an amazing season so far and is sure to leave his mark on the pages of rodeo history. Already wearing the 2026 PBR World Champion gold buckle, Crimber has his sights on furthering his legacy, and holds a good chance of doing just that.

As the 2026 season continues to unfold, all eyes will be on this rider to see how he will continue to take advantage of the summer rodeo season, as well as how he will transition from focusing on PRCA circuits to the fast approaching PBR Teams season.
