The Cowboy Channel announced on Friday, Feb. 27, that John Crimber has purchased his PRCA Rookie Card. It's a move that will likely shake up bull riding, adding another talented rider to an already tough field of young and veteran competition.
The 20-year-old from Decatur, Texas, has already made a name for himself in the PBR, becoming the youngest $1 million rider in PBR history. At just 18 years old, Crimber won nine Challenger Series events and finished the season ranked No. 2 in the world.
As the son of 10-time PBR World Finals qualifier and Florida Freedom head coach Paulo Crimber, it was no surprise that he quickly rose through the ranks. Crimber has already built a strong resume, and his career is just getting started.
He entered his rookie PBR Teams season as the No. 1 overall draft pick by the Florida Freedom. He earned the 2024 PBR Teams MVP award and Teams Championship MVP honors. In 2025, Crimber went back-to-back as the youngest two-time Regular Season Live Legendary MVP.
You can find him spending time around legends like J.B. Mauney, a PBR Hall of Fame rider with his own long list of accolades. With Crimber’s upbringing and the people he surrounds himself with, he knows when to have fun and when to focus and lock in for eight seconds.
Crimber currently sits No. 2 in the PBR Unleash The Beast standings, right behind Sage Kimzey, who recently made the switch from the PRCA to the PBR.
Many will be watching as Crimber takes on this new challenge with one goal in mind—qualify to the 2026 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
