Even with one final event in the 2026 regular season, the Missouri Thunder have already officially secured the regular season win. This accomplishment will no doubt motivate them as they move into the 2026 PBR Teams Championship in November.
After weeks of consistent competition, the 2026 PBR Teams regular season could be one of the most exciting to date. With one final event left in the regular season, the Missouri Thunder have officially been named the 2026 PBR Teams regular-season champions. This was a hard-fought and well-earned victory for the team.
Although there is still one last event for the 2026 regular season, the Missouri Thunder have already been officially crowned the victors with a shocking 23 wins and 9 loses for the season. This was a clean sweep of a season for Missouri as the teams in second and third overall for the season, Austin Gamblers and Carolina Cowboys, currently have 19 wins and 14 losses each. This means that, even if one of these teams won every single game in the upcoming Outlaw Days, they could not overtake the Missouri Thunder. Claiming the season win before the official end of the season is a tremendous accomplishment for Missouri, and something that will likely prove to be a huge motivator going onto the 2026 PBR Teams Championship in Las Vegas.
PBR riders Eric Novoa (left) and Dayton Swearingen answer questions during a press conference announcing the partnership of TKO Group and the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Aug. 4, 2026.This tremendously successful season wasn't earned by one rider, but by a long-standing group effort striving for greatness. In 2026, the Thunders led the series in riding percentages, averaging nearly 50% across the team. The team also logged over 6,000 total aggregate points for the season.
Clearly, this is not a team that stumbled across success, but rather one that intentionally strived for greatness and met the mark. With the final event of the regular season, the Missouri Thunder have the opportunity to simply continue adding to their successful and impressive statistics for the 2026 season. With multiple riders in the top 2 individual rider scores for the 2026 PBR Teams season, the level of skill that each rider brings individually is clear. However, the their talent, skill, and determination is seen more clearly by the clear and sweeping lead that Missouri was able to build this season.
As teams prepare for the 2026 PBR Teams Championship in November, the Missouri Thunder has not only secured the overall season win, but also a Day 2 bye. This means they are guaranteed a spot in the final rounds and will have a better chance to rest before the most crucial night of the competition. Overall, the Missouri Thunder had an amazing 2026 season, and fans can’t wait to see the top team compete at the 2026 PBR Teams Championship.
