
The action continues to build inside NRG Stadium as RODEOHOUSTON moves through its Super Series format.
Super Series 4 delivered another 3 rounds of strong performances, with cowboys and cowgirls battling to earn their place among the top 4 money earners and keep their chances alive in Houston.
California cowboy R.C. Landingham capitalized on drawing some great horses to win the series with $6,500. The five time National Finals Rodeo qualifier won Round 1 with 87 points on Zastron Acres before sealing the deal in Round 3 with 86 points on Vitalix Womanizer. Landingham currently sits fourth in the PRCA World Standings.
Also advancing are Clayton Biglow, Mason Stuller, and Cooper Cooke.
Consistency was the key for Chance Howard, who finished second in all three rounds to come out as the high money earner with $4,750. The Oklahoma cowboy is coming off his first appearance at the National Finals Rodeo in 2025 and continues to capitalize during the Texas Swing.
Joining him in the next round are Stetson Jorgensen, 2024 NFR Average Champ Don Payne, and Ryan Shuckburgh.
A strong finish helped Mason Appleton and Sid Sporer claim the Super Series title with $5,500 each after winning Round 3. Appleton, who currently sits inside the Top 20 in the world standings, continues his work toward his first NFR qualification. The Oklahoma header also holds the team roping world record with a 3.2-second run set in 2025.
Also advancing are Korbin Rice/Cooper Freeman,Brady Tryan/Paden Bray, and Brye Crites/Ross Ashford.
Idaho bronc rider Kade Bruno topped the saddle bronc riding with $6,500 after winning Round 1 with 85.5 points on Weekend Departure and returning to win Round 3 with 84.5 points on Erotic Tango. The four time NFR qualifier currently sits fifth in the world standings.
Advancing alongside him are Zeke Thurston, Kole Ashbacher, and Dawson Hay.
Texas cowboy Quade Hiatt came out on top in the tiedown roping with $6,000. Hiatt made his first trip to the National Finals Rodeo in 2024 and currently sits just outside the Top 20 in the world standings, making Houston an important opportunity. He will head to the semi finals.
Also moving forward are Tom Crouse, 11x NFR qualifier Marty Yates, and Seth Hall.
The 2025 NFBR Average Champion Rylee George led the way in breakaway roping with $6,000 in earnings. George won Round 1 with a 3.1 second run before backing it up with second and third place finishes in the remaining rounds to secure the series win. George has been red hot this year.
Also advancing are Madalyn Richards, Hali Williams, and 2021 World Champion Sawyer Gilbert.
College standout Acey Pinkston captured the barrel racing title with $6,750 after winning Round 1 with a 14.74-second run and returning in Round 3 with a 14.58. Pinkston has already turned heads this season after finishing second at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo behind Kassie Mowry. Pinkston is starting her year very strong and has a chance at making her first NFR this year.
Joining her in the semis are Helen Nowosad , 2025 Resistol Rookie of the year Makenzie Mayes, and Keyla Costa.
Jordan Spears topped the bull riding with $7,250. Spears won Round 1 with 87 points on Damage Control and later tied for the Round 3 win with 83 points on Pickle, securing the most money earned in the series.
Also advancing are Ernie Courson Jr., Trey Kimzey, and Creek Young.
With Super Series 4 complete, the momentum continues to build inside NRG Stadium as another group of contenders takes a step closer to the RODEOHOUSTON semifinals and the chance to compete for the $65,000 championship payday. Houston changes seasons, and we are already seeing standings take shape early this year.
