The year 2025 was bucked off the calendar like a rider going 7.9 seconds in Wyoming last night at the 23rd Annual Buck & Ball presented by Cinch.

Dec 31st, 2025, ended with a bang at the 23rd Annual Buck & Ball presented by Cinch in Gillette, Wyoming last night and it truly was the last best rodeo of the year. Bareback Bronc, Saddle Bronc and Bull Riders, all gave it their best last night in front of a sold-out crowd of over 4,000 western fans. Tif Robertson and her crew threw a party like no other to send off the old and welcome in 2026 with a bang.

One of the best adrenaline filled rodeos of the year which only hosts fan favorites of Bareback Broncs, Saddle Broncs and Bulls and drew in some of the best riders on the PRCA circuit showed up to pack the stands and earn the last paycheck of 2025. This rodeo did not disappoint and helped carry over the need for rodeo after the National Finals Rodeo and the 2025 season wrapped up in early December. Champions displayed their strength and skill on talented stock nut in the end there can only be one winner for each category.

Taking home the money and the coveted winning place for all three disciplines was handed out to Sam Peterson (Helena, Montana) for Bareback riding, Colman Shallbetter (Gunnison, Colorado) for Saddle Bronc riding and Colton Coffman (Lusk, Wyoming) for Bull riding. Each showed strength, courage and raw power to overcome their stock and put on a show to carry the fans and energy into 2026. Not a soul was disappointed with these champions who left the crowd cheering and wanting more with their displays of crushing the competition.

The show started with 20 riders for each discipline in Round 1 but were finalized into the top 4 athletes for the Broncs and Bulls into the Shootout round for the final decision. Their efforts were awarded with cash and glory. Sam Peterson took home a total of $5,666.00 with a final ride on Summit Pro Rodeo’s “Game Trail” for 89 points, Coleman Shallbetter got a paycheck of $7,740.00 after a rode on Summit Pro Rodeo’s “Cat Walk” for an impressive 90 points and Colton Coffman packed his pockets with $6,813.00 after being the only bull rider to cover the 8 second mark in the Shootout on Burch Rodeo’s “Stickn’ and Movin’”

After the impressive rides the fans were let loose into the night with an amazing concert and 2025 farewell party which was graced by the great sounds of Tris Munsick & The Innocents who rocked the night away with some amazing country music that brought the crowd to the dance floor until the early hours of 2026. Of course, all this could not be possible without the core crew led by Tif Robertson and her talented team, so many hats off to them.

This was the place to be for the end of 2025, and the Rodeo Roundtable crew was honored to be a part and can’t wait to be back for the 2026 edition, believe me we will not miss it!
