The Wright name and the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo go hand in hand. This year, the story continues as three Wright brothers, Ryder, Statler, and Stetson all return to Las Vegas, prepared to battle for gold inside the Thomas & Mack Arena. As always they will have huge family support cheering behind them.
Rodeo fans are used to seeing multiple Wrights in the bronc riding, but this year feels particularly special. For the first time since 2022, Stetson Wright is back in the saddle bronc riding, joining his brothers in an arena where the Wright family has carved out history.
And in Vegas, the blue shirts mean something. They have become a symbol of dominance in those yellow bucking chutes.
The reigning and three-time world champion Ryder Wright returns as the No. 1 saddle bronc rider in the world with more than $300,000 won during the regular season. A 10-time NFR qualifier, Ryder is among the greatest to ever climb on a bronc horse.
This year, he’s riding with confidence and momentum chasing another gold buckle.
After sitting out last year due to injury, Stetson Wright is back, and he wasted no time reminding everyone where he likes to be, right on top. The eight-time world champion enters the 2025 NFR ranked #1 in the All-Around, #2 in the Bull Riding, and #12 in the Saddle Bronc Riding.
Last year he was on the sidelines cheering Ryder and Statler on, but superman is back.
While very few athletes in any sport have ever entered the finals with the chance to win three world titles in one week, Stetson Wright has proven he is far from ordianry.
Stetson Wright Set for Huge NFR Return With a Familiar First-Round Matchup
Opening night of the 2025 NFR brings high powered matchups across the board, setting the stage for ten nights of big scores.
Statler Wright made an impression at his first NFR last year. Not only did he hold his placing in five rounds, but also got a trip to the South Point for his Round 6 win.
This year, he arrives in Las Vegas sitting 9th in the world with over $190,000 banked. Statler has quickly shown he belongs in the conversation with the best including the two brothers he’ll nod his head alongside.
With his wife and brand new baby girl in the stands, he has every reason to give it his all.
New Baby, Winning Rides and Big Checks: A Huge Week for the Wright Family
No one in rodeo has had a bigger week than Statler Wright. The youngest of the talented Wright brothers became a first time dad on September 19, when he and fiancée, Jaden, welcomed their first child into the world — a baby girl named Kodi Kate.
Rusty Wright, the oldest brother, will be in the crowd this year after finishing inside the top 30 in the world but just missing the cut for his seventh NFR appearance. You can bet the Wright family section in the Thomas & Mack will be louder than ever.
No matter how many gold buckles they get throughout the years, the Wright family will remain one of the biggest storylines of the entire NFR. Four brothers, a hall of fame father, and the next generation watching from the stands.
This week in Las Vegas, the world will watch as the Wrights climb into the chutes once again and continue to chase and make history together.
