The all around cowboy has had an amazing start of the year in the bareback riding, but the bull riding started a little slow for Wacey Schalla. That might of all turned around in Mercedes Texas and Chandler Arizonia.
The Mercedes Texas rodeo and the Extreme Bulls Event in Chandler, Arizonia might of just turned around the bull riding season for the youngest PRCA million dollar cowboy in history.
Wacey Schalla is known as an all around threat. Last season, Wacey qualified to the NFR in both the bareback riding and the bull riding. In 2024, Wacey made his NFR debut as a bull rider. In 2026, the bull riding was not quite going Schalla's way, however he has been on a a heater in the bareback riding.
Wacey has been in the top couple of the standings since the very beginning. Right now Bradlee Miller leads with just over $103,000. Close behind is reining World Champion Rocker Steiner with more than $101,000. Schalla comes in third right now just a few thousand shy of hitting $100,000 this season too. He has $97,439 won right now.
The bull riding on the other hand has not been going as well for the Oklahoma cowboy. He had won a little at San Antonio and at RODEOHOUSTON, but just had not found his groove for the year yet. That was until he pulled into Mercedes, Texas. He split the win there with 85.5 points on Whistle Pig.
Then the next weekend, Wacey went to the Chandler, Arizonia Extreme Bulls Event and took the average win there worth around $14,000 in total. His 88 point ride in the finals aboard Blue Silhouette was enough to split the round win and take the average title.
Wacey sits outside of the top 15 in the bull riding still, but now we can confidently say he is back in winning shape and is climbing the standings. Wacey is the youngest million dollar PRCA cowboy in history. 2026 would make his 3rd NFR in the bull riding and 2nd in the bareback riding.
