Weston Timberman has been climbing his way to the top of the leaderboards but now has to take time off due to shoulder injury and impending surgery.
Weston Timberman is one of the top Bareback riders in the World and has been steadily climbing the leaderboard for another chance at the NFR, but now, for a second straight year, injuries are threatening to rip that chance from him.
Timberman incurred a shoulder injury early in January but despite the pain he truly "Cowboyed Up" and kept competing. with true grit, Weston climbed all the way to the #14 spot on the PRCA rankings but as of July 4th, 2026 he has had to step back and re-evaluate his current schedule. On the books to ride in the Cody Stampede, Red Lodge Rodeo and the Livingston Roundup he unfortunately had to withdraw, last minute, as the injury has progressively gotten too much to bare. So making the wise decision Timberman has decided to get surgery on his Labrum and be able to continue his ride to the top at another time.
We were able to catch up with Timberman in his home state of Montana and get an exclusive interview and hear the news first-hand from the proverbial horse's mouth.
