After cashing in a few big wins recently, Stetson Wright moved to number 1 in the Saddle Bronc and Bull Riding PRCA Standings and remained at the top of the All Around race.
Every year, the question comes up, but this year it feel different. Stetson Wright is set to make rodeo history once again. It may be early in the year, but this is a goal that Wright has had his eyes on for many years.
After a recent run of big wins, Wright now sits No. 1 in both the saddle bronc riding and bull riding standings, putting him squarely in position to accomplish something rare, The Triple Crown.
Stetson has won the all around 6 times since 2019. He has 1 saddle bronc gold buckle from 2021, and 3 bull riding World Titles. The only thing left to do is win all three of them in the same year. Right now, it’s not hard to see how 2026 could very well be the year he gets it done.

Right Where He Needs to Be
Through the early part of 2026, Wright has already earned more than $245,000, building momentum across both events and doing what he’s done throughout his career. He wins at a level few can match. Though we know this sport is grueling, Stetson has a way of making it look effortless to win.
At just 26 years old, he’s already a 10-time World Champion with more than $4 million in career earnings, joining Trevor Brazile as one of the only cowboys to reach that mark.
Leading both events and having a healthy lead in the all around at this stage of the year is exactly where he needs to be for a Triple Crown run come December in Las Vegas.
How Close He’s Been
This isn’t new territory for Stetson. Like we mentioned, the Triple Crown goal has been there for many years. Accomplishing that goal has just narrowly slipped him a couple of times.
In 2023, Wright looked like he was on track to do it. He was leading the standings going into the NFR before an injury sidelined him and ultimately cost him the remainder of the 2023 NFR and the entire 2024 season.
In 2025, he came back and nearly finished the job.
He won the All-Around and Bull Riding World Titles, but the saddle bronc title slipped away in the final rounds and only to his brothers. The title was decided by just dollars. The youngest brother, Statler would add his first gold buckle to the Wright legacy, and Ryder and Stetson would round out the top 3, proving that no one is better than the men in blue.
There was even a controversial call of the mark out rule in one of the rounds that could of been the deciding factor. However, judges call held, and Stetson would come up just short of his 11th gold buckle, and his first Triple Crown. Yet, the gold still went home to Utah.
The Wright Way
The story doesn’t stop with Stetson.
The Wright family continues to shape the saddle bronc standings. You don't even have to follow rodeo to recognize the name.
The boys father, Cody Wright, is a Hall of Famer and two-time world champion. Brothers Ryder Wright and Statler Wright have both won world titles.
In 2026, another name has re-entered the conversation, Rusty Wright. He has had the most talked about start to this year out of any one of the rough stock guys.
The oldest of the brothers is sitting No. 2 in the world, right behind Stetson, putting together the strongest seasons of his career. He is a five-time NFR qualifier with over a million dollars in earnings, but Rusty is still chasing his first gold buckle. This year he’s in position to do so, but has 3 World Champion brothers standing in his way.
With Ryder and Statler also climbing the standings and currently in the top 20, the possibility of four Wright brothers qualifying for the NFR is very possible and expected. When the dust settles on the tenth round in the Thomas and Mack, only one name sits at the top. That balance though of brotherhood and rivalry is part of what has kept them at this level for so long.
Superman
There’s still a long road ahead for the 2026 season, but if the season ended today, Stetson Wright would walk away with the Triple Crown. He would become a 13 time World Champion.
Wright says it best. He is "healthy, wealthy, handsome, and happy."
They call him “Superman” for a reason and in 2026, he might prove it in full.
