The reigning three-time PRCA World Champion didn't just have the biggest Cowboy Christmas among tie down ropers but he also out earned every contestant in professional rodeo, extending an already commanding lead in the PRCA World Sttandings.
Every year, Cowboy Christmas has a way of changing the PRCA World Standings. One hot week can turn an NFR bubble cowboy into a gold buckle contender. One bad week can also set a cowboy or cowgirl back quite a bit.
This year, one man made sure the biggest week of the rodeo season belonged to him completely. No surprise to say that Riley Webb is comfortable on top.
The reigning three-time PRCA World Champion tie-down roper turned in another remarkable Cowboy Christmas, earning $46,698 across seven rodeos to lead not only the tie-down roping but every event in professional rodeo.
Of all the cowboys and cowgirls competing at 37 rodeos during the Fourth of July run, nobody won more money than the 22-year-old from Denton, Texas.
As impressive as that number is, it may not even be the biggest story. Webb entered Cowboy Christmas already sitting comfortably atop the PRCA World Standings. Of course, he would only extend that lead. Now, he sits more than $50,000 ahead of No. 2-ranked Kincade Henry.
The week began with one of the biggest paydays available.
Webb took the title at the St. Paul Rodeo in Oregon, banking more than $16,000. From there, he stayed on the gas. At the Ponoka Stampede, one of North America's premier rodeos, Webb finished third in the average before placing second in the prestigious Showdown Round, adding nearly $12,000 to his growing total.
He wasn't finished yet. A big win at the Oakley Independence Day Rodeo in Utah brought in nearly $8,000. A super impressive 7.0 there took the win and set the arena record. A strong performance at the Greeley Stampede was worth nearly $5,000. He won another title in Eugene, Oregon, and added one more check in Basin City, Washington.
By week's end, the numbers almost didn't seem real. In only seven rodeos, nearly $50,000 won by one cowboy.
While Webb led the way, Ty Harris also enjoyed a tremendous Cowboy Christmas, finishing second among tie-down ropers with more than 38,000 won. In total, seven tie-down ropers surpassed the $20,000 mark during the holiday run, including rookie-of-the-year contender Brodey Clemonds.
Yet Webb separated himself from everyone else once again. At just 22 years old, Webb is already a three time consecutive PRCA World Champion. He made history at the 2025 NFR, and is looking to do it again this year. Every season, it seems the question shifts from whether he can win another gold buckle to just how many records he might eventually rewrite.
Cowboy Christmas may have been a huge week, but the summer run is far from over. Still ahead are some of the richest and most prestigious rodeos in professional rodeo, including the Calgary Stampede, Cheyenne Frontier Days, and several other major stops that have historically shaped world title races.
2026 is already set to be a huge year for Webb. Not only is he chasing his fourth consecutive gold buckle, but he is also getting married to his fiancée, Josie Connor. Connor is chasing her first gold buckle on the breakaway side, too. Together, these two are breaking records and setting new standards with a rope.
Riley Webb isn't just defending a world championship but he's redefining what sustained excellence looks like as a whole. At this point, the only records left to chase may be his own.
