The King of Cowboys adds another dominant futurity season to his legacy.
Trevor Brazile has spent decades redefining greatness. With more than $7 million in PRCA career earnings and 26 world championships, the King of Cowboys has long been considered the best to ever do it. Even now, “semi-retired,” Brazile continues to dominate, especially in the rope horse futurity world.
At the 2025 Gold Buckle Futurities World Finals in Abilene, Brazile added another accomplishment, earning the title of High Money-Earning Rider of the Year with $100,740.50 in futurity earnings. His season-long dominance earned him a brand-new 6-horse Smarttack Hart trailer, presented by Stephenville Trailers of Stephenville, Texas.
The title was sealed this weekend in Abilene, where the Gold Buckle Futurities World Finals wrapped their 2025 season. Brazile had some of his strongest showings of the year yet, roping on two of Relentless Remuda’s standout horses to major wins that solidified the title.
A Relentless Buzz
One of the weekend’s early highlights was when A Relentless Buzz took the 4 and under heading title. Buzz is a beautiful young grey gelding already proving he belongs in world champion company.
Sired by One Time Honor and out of Makebelieve Mistress, bred by Flag Ranch and owned by Relentless Remuda LLC, Buzz and Brazile claimed the top spot in the Elite Breeders 4 & Under Heading in Abilene.
Buzz showed the kind of promise that makes a futurity horse stand out early; speed, lots of feel, and a want to win. His win added valuable earnings to Brazile’s year-end total that led to the top money earning title.
RR Buckles Clubhouse
Another fun storyline came from RR Buckles Clubhouse, the gelding known as Clubhouse, who walked into Abilene and put a big exclamation point on his futurity career. Sired by Show Me The Buckles and out of Hail Olena, bred by Michael Coe and owned by Relentless Remuda, Clubhouse had a clean sweep in Abilene.
Brazile and Clubhouse won rounds 1, 2, and 3, the average, and the Stallion Incentive sidepot. The complete clean sweep totaled $28,800, pushing Clubhouse’s LTE to more than $250,000 before officially retiring from the futurity scene.
His next chapter begins immediately as he left for Arizona, where he’ll transition into a jackpot horse with a big career ahead with Mr. Bryan Beaver.
The Relentless Standard
This isn’t the first time Remuda has topped the leaderboard this year. At the May Gold Buckle Futurities, five Relentless Remuda horses combined to earn $84,964, crowning Brazile the Top Money-Earning Rider of the Spring Showdown as well.
The King of Cowboys, Brazile, has a legacy that is unmatched. With 31 NFR qualifications, 26 World Titles, and over 7 million dollars in career earnings, Brazile continues to separate himself. Though he doesn’t compete for more world titles at the professional level anymore, his ability to showcase young horses at such a consistent and high level is part of why he remains the greatest to ever play the game.
