
Another bracket of competition has wrapped up at RODEOHOUSTON. Super Series 2 delivered its share of big performances from the best in rodeo. The race towards the title continues.
With more than $2.5 million in total purse money on the line, RODEOHOUSTON’s bracket-style format places heavy emphasis on consistency. Eight athletes compete in three rounds within each Super Series, with the top four money earners advancing to the semifinals.
Super Series 2 featured standout performances across the arena, including a team roping sweep and several athletes continuing strong starts to their 2026 season.
Two round wins powered Waylon Bourgeois to the top of the leaderboard with $5,000 in earnings already. Bourgeois capitalized to advance in the top spot, winning Super Series 2.
Reigning world champion and reigning RODEOHOUSTON champ Rocker Steiner finished close behind with $4,750. Taylor Broussard finished third with $3,750 while Ben Kramer secured the final advancing spot.
Consistency proved key for Grant Peterson, a California Circuit cowboy looking to make his first trip to the National Finals Rodeo in 2026. Peterson won the second round and stayed near the top of the leaderboard throughout the rounds to finish with $4,125.
He was followed by Cash Robb, Chase Crane and Seth Peterson rounding out the top four.
The big story came when Kaleb and Junior clean swept the team roping.
Two-time world champions Kaleb Driggers and Junior Nogueira swept all three rounds of the Super Series. They won round one with with a 5.0 and then got faster to do it again. A 4.9 in round 2, and a 4.8 in round 3 secured all the round wins. The performance earned the pair $9,000 each and a commanding lead in the bracket.
Early in the 2026 season, they already sit atop the world standings and a RODEOHOUSTON win would sure help their cause.
Behind them in the Super Series standings were Kolton Schmidt and Chase Tryan, followed by Chad Masters and Jace Helton, with Clay Smith and Nicky Northcott getting that fourth spot.
Young South Dakota bronc rider Easton West topped the field with $7,000 in earnings to win the series in the saddle bronc.
Riggin Smith finished second with $6,000, while Stetson Wright and Shorty Garrett split third and fourth place to get the final two semifinal positions.
In the tie-down roping, consistency again proved the difference as Bo Pickett and Macon Murphy came out with a tie at the top with $4,000 won.
Reigning World Champion, and reigning RODEOHOUSTON champion Riley Webb finished third while Joel Harris also advances.
The ladies in the breakaway roping were led by Summer Williams, the 2024 Rookie of the Year, who finished the series with $5,500 won.
Summer was followed by Josie Goodrich with $5,000 and Maddy Jacobs with $4,875. Josie Conner came in clutch in the final round to secure the final advancing spot.
Several big storylines played out in the barrel racing as Sydney Graham claimed the win with $5,500 after winning Round 2 and maintaining her consistency across the bracket.
Jordan Driver finished second with $4,250 won after running the fastest run of the rodeo so far in Round 1 with a very impressive 14.18 second run. Paige Jones finished third after placing in all three rounds, while Colorado cowgirl Loralee Ward secured the final advancing position by winning the third round.
The bull riding was dominated by Trevor Reiste, who covered all three bulls and won the first two rounds to finish with $8,550 already. T Parker finished second with $5,050, followed by Hayden Welsh and Dylan Rice.
With Super Series 2 complete, another group of athletes has secured their place in the semifinals. As the remaining brackets continue in NRG Stadium, the path toward the $65,000 championship round is beginning to take shape.
