Bayern Munich are ready to kick off preparations for the new campaign, with the club’s pre-season programme officially getting underway from 20th July. 

The opening phase will begin with performance and fitness testing, giving the coaching staff an opportunity to assess the squad before the intensity of training increases over the coming weeks.

Players who featured in international competitions over the summer will return in stages to allow for additional rest and recovery. 

South Korean defender Kim Min-jae is expected to be the first of the World Cup participants to rejoin the squad, while Harry Kane, Dayot Upamecano, and Michael Olise are scheduled to return later, ensuring they receive adequate time off before beginning preparations for the demanding season ahead.

Bayern have a packed schedule, with their first friendly taking place on 25th July against Wehen Wiesbaden, providing an early opportunity for younger players and new faces to impress. Shortly after, the team will travel to Tegernsee from 27th-30th July for a focused training camp.

The club will conclude the camp with another friendly on 30th July against Rottach-Egern, a fixture that has become a familiar feature of Bayern’s pre-season in recent years. It offers valuable match minutes while allowing supporters to catch a glimpse of the squad before the team heads abroad.

Attention will then turn to Asia, where Bayern will embark on a pre-season tour from 1st to 8th August. The tour includes a meeting with Jeju SK in South Korea on 4th August, followed by a high-profile clash against Premier League side Aston Villa in Hong Kong on 7th August. 

These matches will not only help the players continue their preparations but also strengthen Bayern’s connection with their extensive fan base across Asia.

Following their return to Germany, Bayern will face RB Leipzig in the Telekom Cup on 15th August at the Allianz Arena. 

A week later, they will travel to Dortmund to take on Borussia Dortmund in the Franz Beckenbauer Super Cup on 22nd August, bringing an end to an eventful pre-season.

With a balanced mix of fitness work, training camps, international travel and competitive friendlies, Bayern Munich’s preparations are designed to ensure the squad is physically ready, tactically sharp and fully prepared for another season of challenging for domestic and European trophies.
