Martín Demichelis warns RB Leipzig about Schalke's aggressive playing style
“Although Schalke lost their last game, we're expecting a team that play with aggression and who don't concede many goals. We need to put our plan into action exceptionally well and be clever. Their style of play is what got them promoted and they've continued to stick to it, so it's something they are very familiar with.”
After Leipzig's recent struggles, building on the last two victories will be important. Against a compact, aggressive opponent, Leipzig will need to move the ball quickly, avoid unnecessary mistakes and make the most of their attacking opportunities.
Could the DFB-Pokal be RB Leipzig's best chance of winning a trophy this season?
After the difficult defeats against Bayern and Real Madrid, Leipzig have responded with two consecutive victories, including a hard-fought 2-1 win over Rot-Weiss Essen to reach the DFB-Pokal round of 16.
The Bundesliga and Champions League remain difficult, maybe impossible, but the Pokal offers a different opportunity. Leipzig have already shown in previous seasons that they know how to win this competition.

Leipzig are very happy with Nkunku's performances, and the Frenchman himself would like to stay at the club beyond this season.
With a €28 million purchase option in his loan deal from AC Milan, a permanent return is looking increasingly likely.
Antonio Nusa found himself a new warm-up partner!
The RB Leipzig winger was spotted juggling the ball with a ball boy during the warm-up. A lovely little moment!
RB Leipzig survive a difficult night in Essen!
RB Leipzig's 2–1 victory over Rot-Weiss Essen was far from comfortable, but it was exactly the kind of cup tie that tests a team's character. Playing away from home against a determined opponent is difficult enough, but having to manage the game with ten men made the challenge even greater.
What stood out was Leipzig's ability to fight through those circumstances and find a way to win. It wasn't a performance built on complete control or attractive football, but this was a must-win game, regardless of how the team played. For Demichelis and his players, getting the result was what mattered most.
