Celtic signed five players in the recent winter transfer window, but all of them were loan additions and not particularly high-profile additions. One would imagine that they were merely short-term fixes for the club, as they will have to bring in a new manager in the summer, when Martin O'Neill's interim spell ends.
The likes of Roberto Martinez, Ange Postecoglou, Jens Berthel Askou and a few others have been linked with a summer move to Celtic. Whoever that turns out to be will need backing in the transfer market.
One would hope that Celtic are already starting to put plans in place for the summer. One area worth investing in could be centre-back.
Celtic did sign one centre-back in the winter, bringing in Benjamin Arthur on loan from Brentford. It was a confusing move though, adding him to the squad while letting Stephen Welsh head back to Motherwell.
Arthur had only made three senior appearances for Brentford before his move to Parkhead. So far, he has not made his Celtic debut yet, the only winter addition that is still waiting to do so.
So, it is very likely that Arthur has only been brought in as a cover option and will head back to Brentford in the summer. Celtic do have Liam Scales and Auston Trusty, with Cameron Carter-Vickers expected to be back next season. And now, it looks like a Premiership centre-back is in their sights.
According to Football Insider, Rangers and Celtic are both eyeing a move for Luke Graham in the summer. They are set to face competition from the English Championship.
It is believed that Queens Park Rangers and Portsmouth had made enquiries for Graham in the winter window and were turned out.
The 22-year-old Scottish centre-back is enjoying a breakout season. Until the 25/26 campaign, he had played most of his football out on loan at a variety of lower league clubs and had just five senior appearances to his name for Dundee.
But suddenly, he now finds himself as a starter for Dundee and has not looked out of place. Clearly, he must be doing something right to catch the eye of not just Scottish giants but teams down south as well.
With almost half the season still left to play, a lot could happen between now and the end of the campaign. For now, it might be worth keeping an eye out on Graham's performances if you are a Celtic fan.
