The Celtic player recently talked about his desire to stay at his current club 'for a long time', signalling a permanent move away from Parkhead.

Celtic had a pretty busy winter transfer window as they signed five players during this time, although all of them were brought in on loan deals, which are set to conclude at the end of this season, and only Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has arrived permanently as a free transfer for a period of six months with an option to extend it for another year.

Despite these quick fixes during the winter, the Hoops will definitely look to bolster their squad with long-term projects when they bring in a permanent replacement in the managerial hot seat before the start of the next season.

While bringing in new recruits, the club are also likely to part with the players who have fallen out of favour at Parkhead, which includes loaned out players like Johnny Kenny and Maik Nawrocki, summer signing Michel-Ange Balikwisha and long-term first-team regular Reo Hatate, who could be shown the door at the end of this season.

Forward Luis Palma is also believed to be on the potential departures list in the upcoming summer transfer window, as he recently admitted his desire to stay at his current club Lech Poznan for a 'long time', as he said (via The Celtic Way):

"I hope to stay at Lech for a long time.

"But it's not just my decision. I'm doing my thing day by day and I'm very happy about it.

"All I can do is keep doing that, but not everything depends on me.

"I have been a substitute in recent matches and that's the decision of the manager. But I always have the team's best interests at heart.

"I am working hard to get my place back in the team. That's football for you."

Palma was brought in from Greek club Aris Saloniki in 2023 for a transfer fee of €4.75 million but the move didn't quite pan out for Celtic as he gradually lost his place in the team following a fast start to life at Parkhead. It resulted in his loan move to Olympiacos in February last year, which was another failure.

The 26-year-old was subsequently sent on another loan stint to Lech Poznan in July where the player is evidently enjoying his game as he scored six goals and provided seven assists for the Polish side.

But Lech Poznan are unlikely to pay his sell-on clause, believed to be around €4.6 million, when his loan deal expires at the end of this season. As a result, the Hoops will have to sit with both Palma and the Polish club to figure out a solution for the future and desire expressed by the Honduran forward.
