It looks like another name is in the mix to be the next Celtic manager alongside Jens Berthel Askou and Robbie Keane.

Celtic FC Roundtable Round-up: Julian Araujo, Andy Robertson and Robbie Keane.

Who will be the next Celtic manager? That is a question that will be at the back of every Hoops fan's mind. Of course, the focus right now has to be on finishing the season strong. Martin O'Neill will be hoping to finish his time at Parkhead with more silverware, ideally another league title at the very least.

One could argue that the club would actually have been in control of the league title race if they had not replaced O'Neill with Wilfried Nancy earlier in the season. The Frenchman lasted just eight games in the Parkhead hot seat, and the club had to bring back the Northern Irishman for a second interim run.

O'Neill has done a brilliant job with what he has had to work with. That being said, at 74 years of age, the club cannot be viewing him as the long-term answer.

They have been linked with a few managers. Jens Berthel Askou has been suggested as a future Celtic manager for a few months now after the amazing job he has done at Motherwell this season. This weekend's game at Parkhead could be an audition for him.

Robbie Keane's name has started to do the rounds of the rumour mill again, as he is now being viewed as the frontrunner for the post.

Keane is not the only former Celtic player who seems to be on the radar of the Hoops though.

According to The Guardian, Craig Bellamy also has admirers at Celtic. He is a target for the Hoops. But his situation is complicated for now by Wales’ involvement in the World Cup playoffs.

Of course, Bellamy is the current manager of the Wales national team. He is not someone who has a lot of experience in management though. So, if Celtic do appoint him, it would be another risky appointment. Perhaps an even bigger one than Nancy, and we all know how that turned out.

One advantage that Bellamy will have is that he knows what life at Celtic Park is like. Just like Keane, he also had a loan spell at Parkhead. And a successful one at that, with him even winning the Scottish Cup.

Managing Celtic will be a completely different ball game though. It is a job that not everybody is cut out for.

Also, it is very interesting that there is no mention of Roberto Martinez in the report regarding him being a target for the Celtic job.
