The Scottish FA have made an official announcement regarding the upcoming Premiership match between Dundee United and Celtic.

Balikwisha returns to old club, Yang almost left, and Araujo planning to stay?

Suddenly, there is a lot of positivity around Celtic Park. After the results this weekend, they are right back in the mix. A win over Motherwell was followed by Hearts losing to 11th-placed Kilmarnock away at Rugby Park.

Celtic had put the pressure on Derek McInnes' side by winning earlier in the day, and they appeared to crumble under it. With more matches to go, the gap now stands at just two points. Of course, Rangers cannot be discounted either, as they are a point behind the Hoops themselves.

There is very little between the top three and what is turning out to be the most exciting Premiership title race in quite some time. Of course, Celtic cannot afford any slip-ups. They know that a perfect end to the season would guarantee them the title. That is a lot easier said then done though, with some tough games still to be played.

Their next game is an away trip to Tannadice Park to take on Dundee United. The home side currently sit at 7th in the league table.

The Hoops cannot afford to take them lightly for a second though. They have already seen Hearts lose against Kilmarnock. In fact, Celtic themselves lost the League Cup final at the hands of St Mirren, who are 10th in the league.

Anything can happen on any given day. This is not a Celtic team that is flying at the moment. In fact, most of their recent wins have been narrow ones. Do not be surprised if it turns out to be a tight contest against Dundee United as well.

Amid all this, the Scottish FA have announced the officials for the Dundee United vs Celtic game. Nick Walsh has been named the referee. He will be assisted by Daniel McFarlane and David McGeachie. The VAR duty has gone to David Dickinson, who will have Andrew Dallas as his assistant on the day.

Of course, the refereeing has always been under the microscope in Scotland. The least we can hope for is a game that has no controversial calls, and for the officials not to have any significant impact on the result of the match.

This is going to be Celtic's last game before the international break. So, they will be hoping to go out on a high with a win.

On the other hand, their title rivals will have some interesting fixtures to deal with as well. Rangers will be welcoming Aberdeen to Ibrox while Hearts will be at home taking on Dundee FC. Both those games will be on Saturday, which might put added pressure on or give the Hoops an incentive when they take on Dundee United at Tannadice Park on Sunday.
