Celtic fans have reacted to the rumours of a former player making a return this summer, having reportedly been made available.

Celtic are no strangers to bringing back former players. Two made the move back to Parkhead last summer in the form of Kieran Tierney and Ross Doohan. In the winter window before that, Jota was signed after failed spells at Al-Ittihad and Rennes. Unfortunately, after a bright start, the Portuguese winger has been out injured and is not expected to even play this season.

Another winger who did pretty well for Celtic before earning himself a big-money move is Nicolas Kuhn. Just like Jota, things have not gone according to plan for him since leaving the club.

Kuhn managed to score 21 goals and provide 15 assists last season. That is impressive, when you consider that he did not exactly shine in the second half of the campaign. A brace against RB Leipzig and a strike against Bayern Munich in the Champions League were highlights of his season.

Since joining Como FC, things have been very different for the German winger. Kuhn has managed just one goal and one assist for the Italian side.

Como would have been expecting a lot more from a player they signed for €19 million in the summer. And it looks like they might already be looking to part ways with him.

Reports in Italy have suggested that Como are willing to let Kuhn leave for around €12 million this summer.

Inevitably, rumours have cropped up about a potential return to Celtic. The winger has proven that he can get it done in Scotland when at his best. And with the board under pressure to make some quality additions in the summer, it would not be surprising if they looked towards someone whose quality they are well aware of.

Most Celtic fans do not seem onboard with the idea of bringing back Kuhn, despite his heroics for the club last season. That might very well be down to the idea that he lost his focus in the second half of the previous campaign and was happy enough to wait for his summer exit.

One Celtic fan wrote when it came to the suggestion of Celtic bringing Kuhn back: "Very average player, terrible attitude, turned up when it suited him."

Another Celtic fan wrote: "Had a good 6 months the last 4 years, pass."

Well, it looks like the Celtic supporters are quite clear about not wanting back Kuhn. And they certainly have their reasons.

It is worth pointing out that while Kuhn was absolutely brilliant for about six months at Celtic, he did not do much of note for the rest of his time at Parkhead. So, was that run of form just a purple patch? Was it a sign that he is a player who depends on confidence? Or was it him giving up towards the end? Whatever it was, it did not convince Hoops fans about his overall quality.
