Once again, Moises Caicedo earns a new suspension, and this is starting to become a bother for Chelsea. Since the Ecuadorian midfielder is one of the best players for Chelsea, his absence in different matches directly affects the team's performance.

After his suspension against Bournemouth, Chelsea assistant coach Willy Caballero revealed, "Very frustrated with Caicedo's suspension because it was the first foul of the match," began the man who acted as head coach for this match.

"It did not seem like a yellow card to me, but it is done, so we are going to lose a very important player, but we have to think about who will replace Moises because it is a big loss." Chelsea will have to play in the next match against Manchester City.

These last few months have been "plagued" with suspensions for Moises Caicedo. The Ecuadorian midfielder is going in very tight and hard on some plays, which is earning him red cards and yellow-card accumulations. Even with the Ecuador national team, he was "disciplined" for the 2026 World Cup.

Caicedo played the full 90 minutes of the match against the Cherries, registering a 92% pass completion rate (69/75) and two dangerous chances created. The Colombian also recorded 11 defensive contributions and seven passes into the final third.

This season, Caicedo has played 28 matches for Chelsea, across the Premier League, Carabao Cup, UEFA Champions League, and FIFA Club World Cup. He has a tally of four goals and two assists.
