As the winter transfer window draws near Chelsea have already began their hunt for new recruits by showing interest in a €60 million rated defender.

With the winter transfer window right around the corner, Chelsea are already looking invested in the process as they look to strengthen their squad.

Defence is one position where the Blues are looking to reinforce as soon as possible in order to fill the void left by Levi Colwill due to injury. The management has already set their eyes on former Chelsea man Antonio Rudiger and Brazilian centre-back Murillo as their targets for the upcoming transfer window.

The Blues have made Murillo their most important target because of him being a left footed centre back but Nottingham Forest is unlikely let go of their star player that easily as the 23-year-old is one of Premier league's most wanted players currently and the Chels will definitely find it hard to sign him in January.

Murillo is not the only Brazilian defender who is being targeted by the Blues as according to AS, Chelsea are after teenage sensation Luis Eduardo, who has been rated highly by the club scouts already after his performances in the U-17 World Cup in which Portugal came out victorious.

The U-17 World Cup is a tournament where scouts from big European clubs look out for future stars to sign for their respective clubs as legends like Ronaldinho, Neymar, Xavi Hernandez, etc.have all played for their respective countries in the tournament.

17-year-old Luis Eduardo is also thought to be a star for the ages due to his qualities as observed by not only the Chelsea scouts but also has attracted attention from Manchester United.

Eduardo currently plays for Brazilian side Gremio, and recently extended his contract till the summer of 2028 with a release clause of €60 million, which is quite high for a teenager but the Brazilian sides have recently started to keep a higher release clause due to the constant pick pocketing attempts from the European clubs as they had to let go of their youngsters for lower transfer fees previously.

Other than his defensive qualities, Luis Eduardo is also known for his speed as he recently recorded a top speed of 38 kmph while defending for Gremio in the Copinha.

Chelsea have made it a habit of bringing in young talents with Estevao and Cole Palmer being the ideal examples of their recent strategy but a release clause of €60 million for a player who will turn 18 in January definitely be a matter of concern not only for the Blues but also for United.
