Tempers flare as Chelsea's boss slams Arsenal coaches for breaching warm-up etiquette, igniting a heated exchange before their Carabao Cup clash.

Liam Rosenior accused Arsenal coaches of flouting football "etiquette" and showing a lack of "respect" during the Tuesday warm-up at Emirates Stadium, leading to his angry response before the match.

Footage showed Rosenior shouting: "Stay in your box" before the Carabao Cup semifinal second leg. "Stay in your f------ half. For f---'s sake, stay there." However, the camera never panned to show who had specifically upset the Blues boss.

Chelsea lost 1-0 that night and 4-2 on aggregate and was eliminated from the competition. Now Rosenior has made it clear his anger was not directed at Arsenal players, but apparently at the coaches.

Ahead of Saturday's trip to Wolves, Rosenior said: "It wasn't the players. I am respectful. When you warm up, you have your half, the other team has theirs."

"I didn't ask my team or my coaches to encroach on the opponent's territory. In that moment, I didn't think it was the right place they were operating in."

"They had an impact on my boys and on my team's warm-up. So I asked them, perhaps not politely, to make sure they stayed in their half."

Liam Rosenior accused Arsenal coaches of a lack of respect during the warm-up against Chelsea on Tuesday.

He shouted at Arsenal to stay in their f------ half, but it is unclear who was responsible.

"I'm not here to play mind games. It's exactly what I believe is right and respectful. Hopefully, we respect that and other teams as well."

"In football, there are certain etiquettes. I always try to be as respectful as possible. I always want to win. I never asked my coaches. I have no problem with anyone at Arsenal."

"A fantastic manager, Mikel Arteta, who I respect greatly. In that moment, I didn't feel my team was respected."

Chelsea lost 1-0 thanks to a 97th-minute goal from Kai Havertz and was eliminated from the League Cup 4-2 on aggregate. Arsenal will play the final on 22 March against Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Rosenior is unsure if Reece James or Pedro Neto will be available for Saturday's away match at Wolves, as both face tests on Friday.

Chelsea left winger Jamie Gittens is already ruled out after suffering a hamstring tear. Rosenior said: "It looks a bit more long-term. It's a real shame for him."

"I haven't worked with him very long. I certainly know his career and how excellent he is. This will be a big blow for us."
