At around 13:45 GMT on Saturday afternoon, many Chelsea fans were left shocked to see Brazilian wonderkid Estevao not in the match day squad for the visit of Burnley on match day 27 of the Premier League season.
The 18-year old found the net last time out in the FA Cup away to Hull City, and as a result, many were hoping and perhaps expecting to see him in the starting XI against the Clarets.
So, when the starting XI was confirmed, and his name was not in it, the masses were disappointed. That disappointment quickly turned to huge concern when they saw he was not even named amongst the substitutes by manager Liam Rosenior.
Well, there has been an update given on Estevao's absence from the squad. According to journalist Bobby Vincent, the teenager has a hamstring issue, and is due to have a scan.
Meanwhile, Rosenior had this to say: "Unfortunately yesterday in the training session, he felt awareness in his hamstring. At the moment we are scanning it to make sure it's not too serious, but he's unavailable for today's game and we will see [how he is] from there."
Not ideal, far from it. Particularly ahead of the incredibly packed March schedule, where Chelsea are due to play seven games in 20 days, in a group of games that could include travel to another European country, and in a best case scenario travel up north to Newcastle United.
But well, we will see. It is particularly a shame after Estevao had found the net in the win over Hull, it would have been great if he could continue that confidence and momentum into the coming games, particularly with Chelsea playing such a struggling side in Burnley too.
Nevertheless, as long as it is minor and he is back for the game against Arsenal next week, then there is not too much harm done at all. Hopefully we will get more updates in the next couple of days, and perhaps by Monday or Tuesday at the latest we will have a clear idea of how long, if at all, Estevao will be sidelined for.
With no midweek game, and thus no pre-game presser, perhaps the update - at least from Rosenior or the club officially - may come later in the week, but there will be journalists that will be trying to extensively update us as much as possible, so keep an eye out for updates.
