Liam Rosenior continues to live in a hotel and is likely to remain there until the end of the season. The Chelsea manager admitted he has not had time to look for a home near the training center in Surrey, as he is now totally focused on the team.
After a run of 11 games in six weeks, Rosenior decided to give his players four days off following the FA Cup victory against Hull on February 14. He proactively encouraged his players to travel abroad to rest and recharge.
Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro have traveled to Dubai. This is also the first time in 2026 that Chelsea does not have a midweek game. The 40-year-old coach believes this break will help the team be in better shape for the clash against Burnley.
As the players left London, Rosenior stayed behind. He did not take the opportunity to look for a new home.
"This job never ends," he shared. "I only have one day off. It's important for the coaching staff and all the employees who have worked so hard. They must have time with their families. We all need to rest because the schedule is busy again."
Rosenior himself stated frankly: "I'm still staying at the hotel and will probably remain there for the rest of the season. I don't have time. I have to focus on my job. Accommodation is not a priority right now."
He also stated that this was the first time since taking charge that Chelsea had two full days of tactical preparation for a game. Rosenior was pleased with the players' training spirit and trusted that, in the next period, the team would show a clearer identity on the field.
Chelsea drew 1-1 with Burnley this Saturday, February 21, a result that underscores the challenges facing Liam Rosenior as he attempts to consolidate the team's stability at Stamford Bridge.
After sharing points at home, the London side must focus on a March schedule that presents challenges in both the league and the world's oldest cup tournament. Chelsea's next three commitments include consecutive visits in the Premier League against Arsenal on Sunday, March 1, and Aston Villa on Wednesday, March 4.
Subsequently, the team will seek to advance to the next phase of the FA Cup on Saturday, March 7, when it faces Wrexham in a match that has generated great anticipation among fans.
