Chelsea will seek a historic comeback against PSG on Tuesday night in the Champions League. It will be a complicated mission, but not impossible, with some key absences, but with the determination to advance at home in front of their fans.

UEFA Champions League action in 2026 continues with one of the most attractive knockout-stage matchups when Chelsea hosts Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of the round of 16.

The English side will try to capitalize on playing at home to mount a comeback after being defeated 5-2 in the first leg, while the Parisian team arrives with a big advantage after the result from the first match of the series.

Injuries and doubts for the match:

Levi Colwill, Estevao Willian, Malo Gusto, Reece James, and Jamie Gittens.

Chelsea faces this match with the mission of pulling off a surprise at home and overturning the aggregate score to stay alive in the European tournament. The London side will look to lean on its fans to attempt a historic comeback.

PSG, for its part, arrives with an important advantage after winning the first leg, so it will try to manage the result and take advantage of any space to seal the tie.

This match features footballers capable of making a difference on both teams. For Chelsea, midfield and attacking players such as Joao Pedro, Enzo Fernandez, Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo, and Pedro Neto will seek to create constant danger and lead the possible comeback.

Meanwhile, PSG has offensive elements with great speed and skill, such as Desire Doue, Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha, and Joao Neves, who can capitalize on any counterattack to extend the lead in the series.

Luis Enrique's tactical approach will be fundamental to cool the initial momentum that Chelsea will surely show. The Asturian coach is expected to bet on long possession in midfield, using Vitinha and Neves to frustrate the hosts and force them to leave spaces behind.

If PSG manages to score in the first 20 minutes, the psychological burden could be definitive for Graham Potter's men, who already carry doubts after their inconsistent run in the Premier League. The key for the Parisians will be to avoid complacency and maintain the intensity they showed at the Parc des Princes.

On the other hand, the hope of a comeback at Stamford Bridge lies in the effectiveness that Palmer and Joao Pedro can have in front of goal. Chelsea needs a practically perfect defensive performance to prevent Barcola and Dembele from finishing off the series.

Champions League history has taught us that nights in London can be magical and full of unexpected twists, but overturning a three-goal deficit against this PSG will require superhuman physical and mental commitment. The Blue fans will play their role from the stands, hoping their team achieves the feat and fully enters the fight for the trophy with the big ears in 2026.
