After dominating Chelsea in the recent Champions League tie, PSG now looks to "steal" one of the London club's most important stars.

Paris Saint-Germain thrashed Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League with a 0-3 rout in London for an 8-2 aggregate score and would now deliver a second blow to the English club. PSG is preparing a fortune to sign Moises Caicedo, a starter for the English club.

Moises Caicedo is considering leaving Chelsea amid its poor present and the serious risk of missing out on the UEFA Champions League. PSG is preparing more than €120 million to sign the Ecuadorian.

With a $15 million salary per year, $6 million more than he earns at Chelsea. PSG is one of the few teams that can pry Moises Caicedo out of the Premier League.

It is not the only club interested in taking advantage of Chelsea's poor moment; Real Madrid and Manchester City are also willing to pay more than €100 million for the former Independiente del Valle player.

So far this season, Moises Caicedo has played a total of 39 matches across all competitions. He scored 5 goals and provided 1 assist. The Ecuadorian is among the best, but this year his team has not been able to support him as in other years.

This new market valuation for Moises Caicedo also arrives in the context of a potential Chelsea exit. The Ecuadorian would be out if they do not qualify for the Champions League and has now entered the plans of teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City, and PSG.

If the Ecuadorian's departure materializes, Chelsea would not only lose its best ball-recovering midfielder but would dismantle the balance it has struggled so hard to find in the center of the park. His role as an anchor is what allows players like Enzo to push forward in attack; without that safety net, the Blues' defensive system would be completely exposed.

Losing a piece of this caliber midway through the project would force the board to grope around in the dark in the market searching for a replacement that, as of today, is not abundant in European football. Stamford Bridge would cease to be an elite destination and would become a mere showcase, confirming that the club prefers immediate cash flow over sporting stability.

Giving up the work rate and game-reading ability that Caicedo offers would be, in practical terms, shooting yourself in the foot regarding aspirations to return to Champions League positions and, even worse, to be Premier League champions.
