Sterling departs Chelsea. Explore three Premier League giants eyeing the attacker, eager to reignite his career and secure a new home.

Raheem Sterling has been sidelined from the team for half a year and has not played a single minute this season, which is why a decision was made in recent hours regarding his departure from Chelsea.

"Raheem Sterling has today left Chelsea Football Club by mutual agreement, bringing an end to three and a half seasons as our player, after signing in the summer of 2022 when he was transferred from Manchester City. We thank Raheem for the contribution he made as a Chelsea player and wish him the best for the next stage of his career," says the statement.

Sterling will leave Chelsea, and we cannot overlook that the individual has played for four Big Six teams: Liverpool, the Blues, Arsenal, and Manchester City.

In the 2022/23 season, he played 38 matches in which he scored nine goals and provided four assists. In his second campaign in London, he played 43 matches, improving his numbers considerably: 10 goals and 11 assists.

However, with the arrival of Enzo Maresca as manager, the coach decided not to include him, and he was loaned to Arsenal, where he failed to recover his best form. Sterling participated in 28 matches, 13 of them as a starter, in which he only managed to score one goal and provide five assists.

No club was willing to sign Sterling permanently while he had a contract worth £300,000 per week at Stamford Bridge, so the decision was made to part ways amicably. Here are three Premier League clubs he could join.

1. Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs have accelerated their interest in recent hours and could be an interesting destination for him, although there are other options still available, and he would prefer to stay in England, and in London, particularly.

2. Newcastle United

The Magpies seemed interested in signing a loan until the end of the season to see if he could recapture some of the flashes from his City days, but for now they have stepped back from the pursuit upon learning his wage demands, which are in no way proportional to the low level he has been offering in recent years, although if he does not find a team this option could resurface.

3. Manchester United

The Red Devils, currently managed by Michael Carrick, have Dorgu injured. In turn, Sterling's potential arrival would give them more depth and a greater number of options in the attacking midfield and forward positions.
