Chelsea got some good news on Monday, the final day for the summer transfer window to be open. Tyrique George, who was potentially headed to Fulham, is not going anywhere.

There was a deal in place to send George to Fulham. He even had a medical test to make sure things were OK. But the transfer was not done and he'll stick with the Blues.

According to The Athletic, a deal worth £22million plus a sell-on clause was agreed upon between both clubs. Still, there will be no deal at all.

What did Fulham do instead? They signed winger Shakhtar Donetsk to their club.

George, 19, will now be a part of Chelsea's Champions League team when it enters group play. When does that begin? On Sept. 17 against Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich.

The Blues have added Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho to help at the winger spot. Estevao also is part of Chelsea, too, after a transfer from Palmeiras.

George happened to start playing at the under-8 level. He's made 27 first-team appearances with three goals and five assists while being on the pitch.

In another Chelsea-related move on Monday, defender Ben Chilwell heads to French club Strasbourg. He's going to sign a two-year contract with Strasbourg, but he also has two years left on his Chelsea deal.

Chilwell, 28, joins a litany of Chelsea players who have headed to Strasbourg. Other Chelsea players who are now over there include Mike Penders, Kendry Paez, Mamadou Sarr, Mathis Amougou and Ishe Samuels-Smith. Samuels-Smith was loaned on Monday to Swansea City
