Mexico 1-2 England Half Time: Mexico Hit Back

Jul 6, 2026 2:06 AM

It's half-time at the Azteca, and England find themselves in front after a quickfire double from Jude Bellingham, which briefly saw England in dreamland with a two-nil lead, and halftime fast approaching, the Three Lions appeared to be in the driving seat.

This was relatively short-lived, however, as Mexico were able to respond quickly through Julián Quiñones, who was able to connect with a loose ball in the England box from a free kick and fire his nation back into the game.

What followed was a period of near misses for Mexico, which felt a goal was coming following an array of chances coming soon after the goal, with England fully under the cosh.

With the second half now set to begin, Thomas Tuchel's men will have to keep their heads and stick to the plan if they want to make it out of the Azteca triumphant.
