England 1-2 Argentina: Argentina Break English Hearts Again

England 0-0 Argentina Half Time: All Square At The Break
It's halftime in Atlanta with either side yet to break the deadlock, in what has been quite a cagey match so far, but not without bite. Given the great rivalry between these two nations, it was expected that there would be a fiery affair, which has been evident on display so far, with Argentina having already committed 12 fouls to England's 12. Tempers have come close to blowing over a couple of times so far, but the Three Lions have been able to keep their cool as things stand. England have found themselves behind the Argentine defence a couple of times but were unable to make any use of it, whilst their opponents have also had little to say despite a long-range shot from Enzo Fernandes which narrowly flew over. With neither team yet to register a shot on target so far, both sides will hope the game opens up a little more in the second half.

Norway 1-1 England Half Time: Bellingham Fires Back Before The Break
It's half time in Miami, after a half of football where for the majority of it, England would have felt as though they were in control, boasting 68% possession heading into the break. However, this control came to an abrupt end after Andreas Schjelderup was able to lash the ball into the top left corner, catching Pickford off guard and putting his side ahead. What ensued was a brief period of threat from the Norwegians, who came close to adding to their lead again after Alexander Sørloth failed to square the ball to an in-form Erling Haaland, who seemed less than pleased by his teammate's decision. However, minutes before the break, England were able to respond through Jude Bellingham once again, which was soon followed by a narrowly offside finish from Harry Kane, with it now all to play for heading into the second half.

Mexico 1-2 England Half Time: Mexico Hit Back
It's half-time at the Azteca, and England find themselves in front after a quickfire double from Jude Bellingham, which briefly saw England in dreamland with a two-nil lead, and halftime fast approaching, the Three Lions appeared to be in the driving seat. This was relatively short-lived, however, as Mexico were able to respond quickly through Julián Quiñones, who was able to connect with a loose ball in the England box from a free kick and fire his nation back into the game. What followed was a period of near misses for Mexico, which felt a goal was coming following an array of chances coming soon after the goal, with England fully under the cosh. With the second half now set to begin, Thomas Tuchel's men will have to keep their heads and stick to the plan if they want to make it out of the Azteca triumphant.

England vs DR Congo Half Time: England Stunned
Its half time in Atlanta, and England are currently 45 minutes away from crashing out in what would be an embarassing defeat to the DR Congo. It took only 7 minutes for DR Congo to open the scoring through Brian Cipenga, he was in dreamland when he found himself unmarked in the box before he fired his shot right into the bottom left corner through the arms of Jordan Pickford, who will feel bereaved by the effort. Since going behind, England have looked shell-shocked, with the Three Lions trying aimlessly to hit back, but as in previous games, have found themselves susceptible to counters. England haven't been without their chances, however, with Marcus Rashford having an effort cleared off the line, Jude Bellingham having his glancing header palmed away, and Harry Kane having a penalty decision go against him, the most controversial of them all. With still another half of football left to go, Thomas Tuchel will be praying for a miracle, with England currently staring down the barrel of defeat here, which will only raise further question marks about the German's future at the national team.

Croatia vs Ghana Half Time: Croatia Fire Ahead
Its half time in Philadelphia, and Croatia find themselves in dreamland, currently leading Ghana by a goal to nil following an emphatic strike from Petar Sucic, which caught Benjamin Asare off guard from over 20 yards out. Besides the goal, it has been a fairly dull game, with both sides mainly just sharing even amounts of possession with little threat for the majority of the half, apart from the occasional pot shot. However, the dynamics of this game may shift in the second half now, with Ghana needing a goal to get back into this game and keep their qualification hopes alive, whilst Zlatko Dalic's men will ned to hold on and pray things stay all square in England's clash with Panama, if they wish to maintain top spot at full time.

Panama vs England Half Time: England Frustration Again
Its half time in New Jersey, as England once again find themselves heading into the break unable to break the deadlock. Similar to their midweek class with Ghana, England have found themselves with the lion's share of possession, but unable to really do much with it. There have been some encouraging signs from the Three Lions, with Marcus Rashford currently looking like their most threatening attacker, putting in some dangerous crosses and a couple of shots that have come close to forcing Mosquera into action. Panama have stood firm for this half so far, and actually even managed to force Jordan Pickford into action on occasion, with England looking slightly vulnrable on the break. However, Los Canelaros may struggle to maintain this resilience for another 45 minutes, with England fighting to regain top spot, with Croatia currently leading.
