Derby County 1-1 Wrexham Player Ratings

Wrexham secured a hard-earned point at Pride Park on Saturday afternoon as Ollie Rathbone's 88th-minute equaliser cancelled out Derby County's early opener from Sammie Szmodics.

Starting XI

Anthony Patterson – 6.5

The goalkeeper was beaten by Szmodics' powerful ninth-minute strike but recovered to produce a relatively assured performance. Patterson dealt with several Derby attacks and made important interventions to keep Wrexham within touching distance.

Zak Vyner – 6.5

The defender delivered a steady performance. Vyner remained disciplined in the back three, although the hosts created problems when attacking quickly. Replaced by George Dobson after 85 minutes as Parkinson searched for an equaliser.

Joe Worrall – 6.5

Worrall provided experience and physical presence in central defence. The former Nottingham Forest defender handled Derby's direct attacking play and helped Wrexham's defensive organisation.

Dominic Hyam – 7.5

One of Wrexham's standout performers. The captain produced an important defensive intervention to deny Bobby Clark during the second half and remained influential throughout. Hyam demonstrated good positional awareness and composure.

Issa Kaboré – 6.0

The wing-back was inconsistent, offering width and attacking intent but producing little quality in the final third. Kaboré found himself in promising positions but struggled to make his deliveries count.

Lewis O'Brien – 7.0

Introduced after 15 minutes following Windass' injury, Rathbone ultimately became Wrexham's match-winner in everything but the final score. His energy and determination added another dimension to midfield, and his close-range finish in the 88th minute rescued a valuable point. He was booked in the second half, but his decisive contribution made him Wrexham's standout performer.
