Phil Parkinson thinks Wrexham’s fans can make a big difference again when West Bromwich Albion come to the Racecourse on Tuesday night.

The Wrexham AFC manager praised the atmosphere during September’s win over Southampton and is looking forward to being back home after Saturday’s draw at Derby County.

If Wrexham beat Albion, it would be their first back-to-back home league wins since February.

Wrexham’s last home game followed a tough loss at West Ham. The team bounced back with a win over Southampton, and Parkinson said the fans helped make that recovery possible.

He said the fans clearly gave the team extra support. While he admitted the West Ham loss was hard to forget, he credited the supporters for helping Wrexham move on.

Parkinson also pointed out that evening games at the Racecourse have a special atmosphere, with the pitch feeling slicker under the floodlights. That support really matters. But the Wrexham players need to give fans something to cheer about by keeping the ball, competing hard, and attacking consistently to generate an unrivalled atmosphere at the Racecourse.

Tonight’s game gives Wrexham a chance to build on their recent results with another strong home performance. Wrexham are aiming for their third Championship win of the season and to stay unbeaten for a third game. Albion, on the other hand, come in after two league losses and will be looking to bounce back.

This makes the start of the match important. Wrexham need to set the tone early but avoid letting the excitement lead to rushed choices. The crowd can help the team play patiently just as much as they can push for an aggressive attack. Keeping possession, moving the opposition, and picking the right time to cross are still important, even when fans are urging the team forward.

The Southampton game showed how players and supporters can work together for a good result. Through their execution. Another home win would give the Racecourse crowd further reason to believe the team is building a more consistent run and hope of bettering last season and securing an important Playoff spot.

Wrexham enter Tuesday’s fixture 15th in the Championship with 11 points from nine matches. Phil Parkinson’s side have recorded two wins, five draws and two defeats, scoring ten goals and conceding thirteen.
