Wrexham AFC welcome Birmingham City to the Racecourse on Friday night, with the fixture part of Sky Sports live EFL coverage for the 2026/27 season, with an 8pm kick-off, as both sides search for their first Championship win this season.

Phil Parkinson’s men have opened with consecutive 1-1 draws against Cardiff City and Watford, while Birmingham have also collected two points before suffering a 6-1 Carabao Cup defeat to Brentford.

Wrexham AFC’s new signings Issa Kaboré and Jacques Ekomié will both be available for selection, subject to international clearance and registration. Both players were officially confirmed as new Wrexham signings on Thursday for a reported £ 11 m- £ 12 m combined.

Josh Windass will be monitored ahead of kick-off as he continues to make positive progress in training. George Thomason will be out for a sustained period due to a thigh injury he picked up against Watford last weekend, with Jacques Ekomié likely to replace him at left-wing back given the fitness concerns for Liberato Cacace.
