Wrexham secured a dramatic 2-1 Championship victory over Southampton at the STōK Cae Ras, with Kieffer Moore opening the scoring before Keven Schlotterbeck’s late own goal settled the contest. Despite Southampton controlling 67% possession and registering 19 attempts, Phil Parkinson’s side defended resiliently and found a way to win.

Anthony Patterson – 7.5
Patterson stayed composed under considerable Southampton pressure and made several interventions to keep Wrexham level in the second half.
Zak Vyner – 8
Excellent on the right of the back three. Vyner defended aggressively, dealt with crosses into the box and showed impressive discipline as Southampton pushed for another goal.
Dominic Hyam – 7
A committed defensive display, he helped organise Wrexham’s defensive shape, though he picked up a late booking.
Callum Doyle – 8
Another commanding performance from Doyle. He made important clearances and remained composed when Southampton dominated possession.
Issa Kaboré – 6.5
Offered energy and an attacking outlet on the right. Southampton occasionally found space behind him, but Kaboré continued to work hard for the team.
Ben Sheaf – 6.5
Produced a disciplined central midfield performance before being withdrawn after 65 minutes. Worked hard to disrupt Southampton’s rhythm.
Ben Whiteman – 8
One of Wrexham’s standout performers. Whiteman delivered the corner from which Moore opened the scoring and contributed plenty of defensive work alongside his set-piece quality.
Jacques Ekomié – 7.5
A strong performance at left wing-back. Ekomié carried the ball forward whenever space became available.
Josh Windass – 7
Worked intelligently between Southampton’s midfield and defence. Windass provided creativity during Wrexham’s attacking phases.
Callum O’Hare – 7.5
Energetic and influential throughout. O’Hare drove forward whenever Wrexham recovered possession, linked effectively with Moore and helped create uncertainty inside the Southampton defence.
Kieffer Moore – 8.5
Moore gave Wrexham the lead with a powerful 36th-minute finish and caused Southampton persistent problems with his physicality, movement and aerial presence.
