Chile equalised before the break before taking a 2-1 lead shortly after half-time. The United States responded quickly, with Julian Hall restoring parity at 2-2.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side then completed the comeback by scoring twice late in the match. The United States went ahead in the 72nd minute before Mathis Albert sealed the victory in stoppage time.
