Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland collide as these unbeaten heavyweights battle for group supremacy. With knockout seeds at stake, tactical rotations could decide this star-studded tactical showdown.
The fate of both sides is known before this exciting clash with France and Norway being guaranteed either first or second on group I, with both teams winning their opening two games against France and Iraq.
France have lived up to their very high expectations so far, managing to score three goals in each game and are playing with the confidence of a side that know that they can lift the trophy.
In their 3-1 win versus Senegal Les Blues weren't very exciting in the first 45, but as the game went on the French came into life with their captain Kylian Mbappe scoring twice, in between a Bradley Barcola goal.
It was a weather-affected game against Iraq, which saw the half-time break extended to two hours, but it didn't affect the tournament favourites as they ran away 3-0 winners, with another brace from Mbappe being aided by an Ousmane Dembele goal.
However, I believe France's star man of the tournament has actually yet to score, right winger Michael Olise has been incredible on the ball, with him having created the most big chances out of anyone so far this World Cup.
Norway have lived up to their very high expectations so far this World Cup, something most 'dark horses' fail to live up to. And are looking to mount up pressure for what is going to be a historic knockout run.
They started their first World Cup campaign in 28 years, with a favourable game against Iraq and despite having their early goal equalised by an Iraq, they came away as 4-1 winners with their star man Erling Haaland bagging two.
The game that Landslaget knew they had to get a result from was against the equally powered Senegal, knowing that a win would have put them into the knockouts. They were able to come out as 3-2 winners, despite a nervy ending Haaland's second double got Norway over the line.
Currently, as it stands, whoever wins this game will play against the Ivory Coast, with the other side to play Sweden, with a draw also seeing France top the group
Team News
In the few closing group games we have seen so far there has been a theme of rotation from sides already knowing their fate.
France's strong depth may see Rayan Cherki, Bradley Barcola and Desire Doue come into the side, with France potentially looking to rest some of their star men drop to the bench.
In the Norway camp, they look likely to miss out on Julian Ryerson, who had to come off only ten minutes into the Senegal, being a doubt with a thigh injury.
Landslaget may also look to rotate slightly but I'd be surpised if the two key men Haaland and Martin Odergaard don't start.
Key Battles
Erling Haaland vs Dayot Upamecano
One of the best strikers in the world versus one of the best centre halves, truly one of the best aspects of the World Cup and whoever comes on top, will have a great chance of winning
Michael Olise vs Martin Odergaard
Two of the most creative players in the tournament battling off, with the pair of them being experts in creating chances, so whoever does a better job, their nation will be having plenty of chances.
Torbjorn Heggem vs Kylian Mbappe
A major task ahead for the Bologna defender with him having a red-hot Kylian Mbappe ahead of him, with the French forward looking to try and break the new-set Lionel Messi World Cup scoring record.
Prediction
France 2-1 Norway
This is the biggest test both sides have faced and both teams are in for a very tough game, with two of the best attacks in the tournament coming up against each other, it is just a shame that the game is somewhat of a dead runner.
I think France will nick it however with Olise opening up his World Cup account.
