Real Madrid secured a relatively comfortable win over RB Leipzig. At times, the match slowed to a crawl, but when the merengues decided to attack, they did so with real force, routing the Germans.

The match began somewhat stagnant; the first 30 minutes were a constant attempt by Real Madrid to create dangerous plays through its three possible routes: Arda Guler on the right, Vinicius Jr. on the left flank, or Kylian Mbappe through the middle. However, no door generated real danger; no clear pass to goal was achieved, nor was a shot that forced the RB Leipzig goalkeeper to make a great save.

While Thibaut Courtois also had no dangerous interventions, he only had to intervene on a couple of occasions in half an hour of play. The team did not look as creative as last Sunday against Sevilla. Vinicius tried to exploit his speed, but he did not offer the same attacking power as Yan Diomande, who started the match on the bench. In addition, Jude Bellingham was a little more withdrawn on this occasion; he was not playing as a '10,' and the team felt it.

It was not until the 44th minute that, on a Merengue attack, Mbappe, who could not shoot because he had his back to goal at the penalty spot, gave the ball to Federico Valverde, who was on the right flank, who gave a powerful pass again to the center of the opposing area to Arda Guler, who took a powerful low shot, which was initially saved by Maarten Vandevoordt, but the ball slipped between his legs, which was taken advantage of by Bernardo Silva to shoot into the goal on a second attempt.

In this way, Madrid went into the break winning 1-0. Despite not having had as much creativity in front of goal, they were the ones who had tried the most so far, so it is a deserved result. Jose Mourinho needed to modify something for the second half, since the team lacked spark if it wanted to increase the lead.

In the 52nd minute, a play that began on the left flank with Vinicius doing a one-two with Bellingham to shake off a German defender and then sending in a great cross, which was headed by Mbappe, beating the goalkeeper, but the ball seemed like it would be cleared by Willi Orban; however, Guler got behind him and pushed the ball in to secure the goal, later apologizing to the Frenchman in the celebration for "stealing" his goal. The match became 2-0 for the merengues.

After Madrid's second goal, the match completely froze. All the action was in midfield, and there were practically no shots on goal. It was not until the 83rd minute that two consecutive goals fell. Mbappe took charge of scoring Madrid's third with a shot with the inside of his foot from the edge of the box, which went into the corner; nothing to be done for the Leipzig goalkeeper.

While Gumis took charge of scoring the German team's goal, this was after an error in defense by Dean Huijsen, who abandoned his position to press in midfield and left Antonio Rudiger in a 1-on-2 situation, which they took great advantage of to beat Courtois.

The goal festival continued from Diomande, who received a cross from Brahim Diaz and, with a volley, launched a missile to the corner of the goal, which was impossible for Vandevoordt to stop. A match that had completely dropped in intensity after the 2-0, in a span of four minutes, became 4-1. A result that would be the definitive one, with the Merengues accomplishing the task of adding three again to place themselves in the top positions of the standings.
